So, I was pleased. It's not the best art, or the best characters, neither are a good explanation to they like each other, but I really like the pain and suffering. It's for strangers like me. Don't recommended to the ones who not have guts.

Different hence I loved it

I liked a lot! At first I wanted to stop reading it, glad I didn't, because on the first two chapters I was like: "omg, I can't believe this is yet another story where the yakuza rapes the stupid uke and then the idiotic uke ends up falling crazy in love with his rapist" but in the end it's nothing like that and boy, I enjoyed that. The twist was very refreshing, watching how the stupid uke turned into the main character and for the first time wasn't in love with his captor!!! And the yakuza was so in love with him he turned into a complete and useless person because of love. lol
Read it if you enjoy different and good stories. Don't read it if you love clichés, if you are someone who thinks rape is romantic and if you love how the uke is an idiot with no personality, if you are like that you are going to hate it.

In the end sensei is the twisted one?

I thought at first the Yakuza President was the twisted one but he turned out to be the masochist. I have no problem with the lawyer venturing into the world of sadomasochism but the author did a bad job of bringing him there. It's like she said the boss was a sadist and sensei a masochist in disguise and then they switch roles. The plot was lagging especially character development, it only took place in the first chapter in my opinion, and it sucked at that.

The story felt like it was going somewhere at the beginning and then it was unclear what intentions "Sensei" had towards Takagi. The ending was, to me, about one of the only things that actually made sense. They didn't really end up together? No, they didn't. But sensei declared, in his twisted way, how special Takagi was for him. The dream shown at the end is very subtle, so I understand why a lot of people were dissatisfied. To me, it means they found each other in their little corner of the world, even if nobody else was there.

As for the art, it isn't very good, and frankly, the 5th boss was too ugly to be in yaoi. The good think about it were the sex scenes: not enjoyable in the least. I'm not those kind of people who are totally against rape in yaoi, but since they were indeed rape scenes, they were horrible and I didn't like that. And that's exactly how it's supposed to be, so I consider that to be good.

Quite a controversial and psychological theme going on in this manga without a doubt. I actually thought that it's quite interesting and intriguing the way the mangaka presented the issue through the characters' internal thoughts and actions, and the manga definitely does require proper reading for full comprehension and not just skimming through the surface. If anything, I feel like the story's a little bit underdeveloped and the volume's length doesn't leave enough room for maximum characters exposure, as strange as that may seem.

Unfulfilling :(

The story summary seemed so enticing, however that was just the bare minimum of the story. The story felt like it was going somewhere at the beginning and then it was unclear what intentions "Sensei" had towards Takagi. The ending was wishy-washy too, expected reciprocal feelings but it was still one-way. Though I enjoy yakuza mangas, this one was a let down compared to others (Bi no Isu, Kobi no Kyoujin, Viewfinder)

after all the other review i thought this is gonna be bad, but it is actually very good! i like the character development however twisted it is. the happy ending is very fitting here. i dont know why people give it a low rating, just because the happy ending is not the version that is sugar coated.

Two me, it doesn't really get good until the first two chapters are over. With that being said, in my vision, you'd have to be patient to get to the good part. I think the first two chapters don't have solid bases and seem like any other S/M/yakuza manga. Sensei doesn't seem to have any personality at first, and Takagi's another common yakuza-boss-seme: violent, cruel, but mostly spoiled and childish to the point he does whatever he wants because he has power.

Then the manga suddenly turns into something else entirely. The story gets twisted.
Takagi turns into the star of the manga as his personality changes completely. He then becomes a puppy, whose love towards sensei is so big, he's damaged by it. He becomes clingy to sensei and waits for praising to even stand up on his own. More than that, he actually becomes weak and desperate, completely lovesick. To that point you must understand how it is to feel bad for a character, because his side is really sad.

Sensei, on the other hand, I started to hate. He is the one who was responsible for Takagi's personality change and yet he was all condescending, saying "he bores me" and sh*t. And he gets even worse, looking only for pleasure and disregarding Takagi's feelings towards him, with whoever makes themselves presentable for his needs.

Well, as opposed to everyone else, I'd rate the first two chapters very low and the last two high, so I'd give a medium rate like everybody else, but for different reasons - more like opposite?

PS: Doubt: Goto almost seems to be in love with Takagi, or is it just me?

It's kinda sad actually.
I've never read a yaoi with the uke being completely, to the extent of being creepily, masochistic. It's an interesting experience reading this, definitely. The seme wants love from the uke, but the uke simply needs the seme to treat him badly. The uke asked the seme to abandon his heart. Sigh. That's so sad.
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
also the uke turned out to be masochistic AND sadistic.

The art is okay... not that great, and not that bad either.

I don't recommend this for romance lovers xD thats the first warning. The second is that this isnt at all light hearted. If you've no problem with that keep reading, you might enjoy it. Anyway, i read this out of curiosity, and i have to say, despite its dreary atmosphere and crazy uke i sort of enjoyed it. But... the ending could have been a bit more satisfying for sure, it feels like a cliff hanger rather than a real ending, yet at the same time i can see how things probably wont change. I do feel sorry for the Boss though, he gets so hopelessly hooked on Sensei yet in the end all he gets in return in pain... i guess one bad turn deserves another in this story.
