There is a saying that if you find a Japanese maple leaf with eight tips you will find everlasting love. A popular high school actress is now making a film about that legend at the main character's high school, who in turn has a crush on her. One day after school he runs into her and helps her escape from some pursuing staff members. It turns out that since she started acting right after middle school she hasn't had any experience with love and that is hurting the production of the movie. So to get some experience with love she invites him out on a date.
Included the following stories:
Volume 1: Koisome Momiji (Pilot)
Volume 2: FamiDol! Daichi's, a teenage boy with little experience with women, life takes an unexpected turn of events. After his mother's remarriage, he obtains a new sister, who is no other than the famous idol Asano Nanami. What is Daichi going to do when they end up alone together and Nanami wants nothing to do with him?

It's good, funny and creative.
Whaaaat!? I really did not expect what I read on other comments here.
I havent read any other romance manga like this one as far as shounens go.
It's very funny, very cute, very creative (as far as shounens go), and it's short. It ends before it starts dragging moronicly. Specially the drag. It might force situations to make it funny, but never for the sake of draging, such as interrupting kisses, confesions, replis, etc. which is great
Anyway, it's a great read.
see the ending, see the development new girl that flag triggered, and shooo.... she's gone and none
hater gonna hate
I completely agree with the people below me who said this manga is cliche and predictable. The oneshot was pretty good but when I read the serialized version it's so boring and cliche. When I read the part where the main character's childhood shows up again it's so obvious that things are going to be so predictable.
Even though manhwa/manga are cliche I still give it a chance but this manga I couldn't do it. When the childhood friend uses her big boobs and sex appeal to lure the main character I couldn't read another chapter. Another manga that is almost exactly like Ichigo 100% and many others that I don't want to list.
Overall just read the oneshot.
Shounen romance rockets then plummets.
It's true. The romances always start out good, but I don't think it's the manga-ka's fault. I think the manga-ka's never get the time to finish their stories. Most of the time they're axed.
The successful shounens are the long ones: I"S, Ichigo 100%, Love Hina. Sadly, I can't say that's always the case...To-Love-Ru just prolonged and waited until it was axed
Back to the manga, I hope it doesn't end up like Pajama Na Kanojo. It got axed with a bad ending. I have a good feeling about this manga, the main character loves ONE girl, and his blushing is so hilarious. Nisekoi + Koisome Momiji!!! I <3 shounen romance!! Oh and earnest young love is good
Cute and sweet
Y'know, I really get tired of people knocking a fairly good manga just because they say it's 'cliche'. There are so very few truly original things nowadays that sometimes you can't help but use some standard situations... however, it's what the series DOES with those cliches that matters. I'm taking this story as it is.. a simple and cute love at first sight kind of thing. It's sweet and heart-warming, if a bit on the silly side sometimes.. what with Sana's obliviousness to her own feelings and Yui's sometimes awkward attempts at flirting. I'm usually the kind of guy who likes the less popular characters in an anime or manga.. but in this one, Sana has me completely enamored. Anyways... basically.. I think it's good, so don't knock it til you try it.
... Also, Kotori needs a good spanking to get her act together. Geez.
Edit: Huh.. dunno how long this manga was planned to be, but things seem to be coming to a head now in these latest chapters.

Oneshot was good
It was really good actually. The drawing was really really nice although the movements were ecchi-ly awkward. Because I enjoyed the oneshot somewhat so I thought moving on to the series would be fine.
It is like others said it became boring and cliche. I read until chapter 5 and now I'm thinking, meh, I don't want to continue any longer. The drawing degraded as well. And introducing new busybodies as well as his "dull" with hot bod first love... I'll move on to the Gion horror to see what will happen :>
But the oneshot was good! Do try it
Should have stopped at the oneshot
I completely agree with what Alexiel said. The oneshot was really good, but I didn't know how/if they could serialize it. Well they did and they trotted out every cliche they could think of. Nice guy, cute stranger, convenient blush moment brings them together, turns out she is a new transfer student, add huge-breasted childhood friend, love triangle ensues, beach episode, etc.
I know it's Jump and romance isn't their forte, but it seems like all good stories or those with potential are put through the 'Jump process' and all come out the exact same with different character names. I still will read it, but only in the hope that the author will find a way to wring out the potential that was shown in the oneshot.
The oneshot was so good that it made me happy when i saw it tunerd into a serie, but im really disappointed, this manga turned into an ocean of cliches and boring. Maybe when this ends i try to read, but for now im dropping cause im tired of the same thing again and again.
Sweet, heartfelt romance~
This is an addicting romantic comedy manga with a nice original twist. I really like the way the story develops and its not cliched at all. Now, reading the first chapter, it might seem too sudden and senseless for the girl to be familiar and trusting towards the guy after meeting only twice, but I take it that the guy simply seemed so harmless and had a friendly 'aura', that the girl felt reassured with him (instincts, perhaps?), and then add the fact that she's attended all-girls school all her life, never had any romantic experience (thus implying she isn't familiar on how to interact with a boy her age), hence this probably explains her over-friendly-ness. Not forgetting her intention of finding a practice boyfriend for her acting role. Like some readers, I also dislike the nonsensical 'sudden attraction' romantic developments, but I think the one in this manga is plausible.
The male protagonist may seem a bit too 'girly' at first, but damn, soon enough he'll act very manly and heroic (i.e. cliff incident); very much deserving the affections of the female love interests. He's just incredibly honest, innocent, shy and unselfish. The first female protagonist is kinda innocent too in a way, and she isn't the type of female protagonist that's 'hard to get' or totally oblivious of the guy's affections towards her. The rival girl may be a gravure idol, but she's really weird and funny~ The art is simply BEAUTIFUL, and the ecchi level is quite mild, if that's your concern.
The romance is the meat of the manga, and its deliciously sweet and totally heartfelt, just the way I like it

Hard to say since it has an early start...
I kinda agree with leopark and emkat.
At first its like what emkat said, a male fantasy story... if you did not read the oneshot. For me the reason why it became a series because it has the nice concept and its Shonen Jump. Based from what I know, they will choose a series that is unique and based on reader votes.
For a series kinda lucky since manga these days. I agree with leopark, competition will be a bit harsh. however if the creators of the manga played their cards right it will be a success.
Its like the one shot but longer. Here are some details why...
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
- Oneshot = they are filming a movie Series = they are filming a morning drama - Oneshot = the girl will not stay too long since she is not a student at the rural place Series = the girl will stay because she needs to study the role of her character since she is a newcomer - Oneshot = The girl is a child prodigy actress Series = She is not (why whould she waste time transfering to a new school)
There are still a lot of pointers that are stretch since it became a series however I don't want to spoil the fun for others hehe
I think its a nice series for a love story, it has a the unique concept. A love between two people in a 'unexpected situation' (thanks to the girl). Ecchi is pretty much justify since the girl is HOT haha. And comedy is a assurance since the boy is like a girl HAHA.
I would recommend it if you want to read a different kind of manga when it comes to love
