I don't know why but somehow I want to love this manga but I can't...
It was too... not outstanding as it could've been...
I love the traumatized uke being comforted by the seme and that scene satisfied me. What came after though just wasn't enough...
Though it is recommended and the artwork is very well done.

Gosh, I feel sorry for Yuu. What a sad past he has! I picked this up quite long ago, but didn't get to finish it since I've downloaded so many manga but never get to finished this off. But this story is nice! The art is beautiful and the storyline flows very smoothly...BUT! I'm still wondering what happened to Yuuki & Amamiya. Is he still clinging on to him knowing that Amamiya have a wife and a child? I felt sorry for him too and I'd be nice if he could actually really fall in love with the right person, unlike that Amamiya, who's so selfish. Ugh. But anyway, the story is mostly centered on Yuu and Masaki, so don't get bothered with Yuuki's case. x3
loved it...but

I loved the characters and the plot, it made me relax, i just enjoyed that there was no cheating or betrayal between the main characters, to me there was understanding and accepting each other. And here comes the BUT, this lacked a second volume without a doubt, there should have been a continuation of the relatioship, cause it was like they got together and it ended right away. Also the secondary plot about the ex lover didn't take you much anywhere, maybe that was the idea of the author, more real life like, but it still buged me a bit, i heat cheating. Anyway, i really liked it even with the things that it lacked, hope the mangaka picks it up again. So i give it an 8, cause of the things that were missing and because as someone said in another post, it didn't have that senseless lust everywhere, it was just right (in my opnion at list).

I actually bought a copy from the bookstore. I got so excited when a whole stock of June mangas came in so I just grabbed whatever looked good. And lemme tell you, after I finished reading it I re-read it again. It was so heartfelt and the way the plot flowed was just beautiful. You probably think that they were both licking each other's wounds with their past and all but I think they supported each other. I mean, it was more like they understood each other and felt this special connection since the beginning. I think Kuzumi fell in love with Yuu at first sight. He did give off that sort of vibe towards him. Plus, the dogs were really cute. Towards the end when they were licking Kuzumi and Yuu kissed him in the end. It was such a pure love. I love how there was no hint of over expressed lust unlike the usual over rated yaoi mangas. There were no forceful actions and they accepted each other so naturally. It was a really nice read.

This manga has lovely artwork - the guys are great, but the mangaka needs to work on dogs a bit more. The story is touching, and has more to it than sex. In fact, the sex between the main characters doesn't happen until later because the story centers more around Kuzumi dealing with his past lover, and Yuu trying to come to terms with the sexual abuse he received from his step-father. That's why, when they finally get together it brings on more of an emotional response. A cute story, and a nice light read. If you are looking for yaoi with graphic sex scenes, this isn't it.
Nice art, but...

This is an example of work I started reading, and wanted to love. At first sight, the art is gorgeous. The characters seem intriguing, and the story picks up to a good start. But what happens to this story as it unfolds is... well, it slowly becomes more predictable, and more formulaic and dull with each chapter.
The setup is very good. As I said, I started this series and wanted to enjoy it more than I did, by the end. There's a genuine romance here, but each subplot starts off to an intriguing premise, only to be resolved hastily and without enough development. This is a story that likely needed two volumes to be fully told - and when it ended I was disappointed, sort of a "that's it?" feeling because the emotional arc never completely gets off the ground, and never fully reaches that "ah hah" moment of impact and revelation.
But what's here is good. It's not an unpleasant read, by any means (apart from a few moments of over-the-top dialogue that feels unreal..). I just wish this story was actually completed. I see a lot of potential that's lost in a quiet, overly melodramatic work that has a faint spark, but not enough focus or emotional drive to be memorable.

Art or not, this series lacks in so many other levels. Typical yaoi, really, but it's too typical you wouldn't know where to even start. I don't understand why so many are fascinated by it.

I admit this waas a disappointing series by Sakura. I think it was too rushed and the story line didn't make sense. One sec the characters are talking and the next it's some other time frame. If she would have just extended the story and put in more details then it would have been a great series.
Def. rushed, but the art is to die for ^_~*

Spoiler (highlight to view)
Why do people like this? the story start with the main guy (Kuzumi)who hires a dog trainer (Yuu-> this guy was abused by his step father in the past) Kuzumi is sleeping with some guy (dont remember his name) but he falls for Yuu, for some reason the guy that Kuzumi is sleeping with has feelings for some matter guy that sleep with anything that walks, and Kuzumi states that he never intended to stay with the guy he was sleeping with he was just "borrowing" him from the married guy, am i the only one disgusted by this story line? everyone pretty much sleeps with everyone else and no one seems to care about this. And Yuu he is completely traumatized the ENTIRE manga and all of the sudden he just sleeps with Kuzumi as if its nothing...

Usually I stumble unto doujins by artists I like, but this time around I came upon this mangaka because I love the Jet Monster circle, which does mostly Teni Puri and Initial D. She characterizes very well in doujinshi and I was glad to see that she can create strong characters and personas of her own.
Personally the story in this, despite the careful pacing and long work-up, just didn't hold me, which is odd because I tend to really adore those types of stories. It just felt like something was lacking.
On the positive side, the art is just stunning. The expressiveness that Sakuya can illustrate though facial features blows me away. I agree with HCB on that at least. As a note, she also draws nice dogs.
I'd recommend it on art alone, but there is even a nice story to go along with it.
