pointless ecchi

This might be better without the ecchi, although ecchi was kind of the main point in it. It also showed nipples. I didn’t know they can do it. The adults looked like children so I will never know how old they are.
The story
So Santa brings a little sister to this guy. End of explanation. It wasn’t really a story. And although it might be a harem, or at least love triangle, it never felt like it. Too carefree and storyless.
Art
They looked like they were 12. The art was pretty clean itself, but not in a good way (can't explain). Too much breasts and panties. And nipples.
Characters
Kinda strange. The guy wasn’t this usual sexed ecchi hero, for the better, but it still didn’t save the manga. No remarkable characters, Choko was clueless so it would be easier to make ecchi situations. There was also this girl that undressed other girls and talks things like "your breasts are huge!" Ugh.
Enjoyment
Not much, but it wasn’t bad bad. It could be read, it was also short and some chapters were pretty good. Still pointless. Even if I liked ecchi, I still wouldn't like it.

I actually read this a long time ago, but had to browse through the pages to be sure I didn't drop it somewhere in the middle before making this comment.
Yes, I've had read it to the end before.
Yes, this series is awful and the ending is totally "?!"
Kanrinin-san is the worst character ever written. I hate her with passion. She is worst than Bella Swan from Twilight - that's how awful she is. Author avatar too much?
The namesake character, Choco, comes without explanation and... that's it. Don't expect more.
If you like "I play the victim and am useless, like me" characters... then this manga is for you.

This manga's plot was much more profound than you would expect from reading the summary, It's a great mix of romance and comedy, with some assorted drama and tearjerking-ness. Recommended.

okay this was actually a really decent read, but it just started going downhill when it started focusing on the manager instead, maybe it was bcuz i didnt like her at all...
the ending was kind of dumb, nothing happened at all, it was the outcome anyone could see coming.

He keeps a sister as a pet. Not a word about legal status, education, her future. She acts as his pet, trowing herself at him, wanting to be always with him. There are also some 3d-party distraction girls involved, coming in and out story. Cute manga, but sad and shallow one. And too long to bear because of no character development.

It was an easy, cute read, but Chokotto Sister had so many parts that kept bugging me while reading and then afterwards, too. Things that were never addressed - like why doesn't anyone come after Choko for not going to school, even though she's only ten or eleven years old, and it's really obvious that she doesn't go? Where does Kawagoe get the money to pay for their expenses, since he doesn't have a regular job and Choko has a lot of clothes and things? Why on earth is there so much focus on Choko and her friend's bodies and undergarments? I don't mind pantsu or breasts, but I was uncomfortable with the way this started out as an ecchi manga with such young girls and so many lovingly rendered drawings of their undergarments and naked bodies.
The story is pretty cute, though, and not totally superficial. The romance plot is sweet if painfully obvious from almost the beginning, and Choko is a cute girl. But the ending is kind of sudden and weird, and a lot of my questions never got answered (I particularly want to know what the hell is going to happen to Choko, and if Kawagoe's parents are ever going to find out about her, and what she's going to do when she's old enough to live on her own, or if she's always going to be sort of creepily hanging around her Onii-chan, even into old age).
The artwork is very nice, and so is the pacing. Not the most amazing manga ever, but a nice diversion for a few afternoons.

i couldn't say better..
Little choko is lovely, all characters are likable to the bone, and it will leave you with a heartwarming feeling each and every time you read it, and trust me it's gonna be more than once or twice

I cant say anymore than the last commentator, since he technically "took the words right out of my mouth"
I will add the fact that this is has a high re-read value.....you can read it multiple times, right after another in fact (I did so 2 times just now), and still be darn great

Well I'm officially ruined now. Thanks, Japan.

This sure was one hell of an emotional roller coaster, for me. What started out as a light-hearted comedy, at some point, managed to turn into some kind of mostly-serious romantic drama. And in it's mostly-serious moments, it always manages to pull some kind of heart-wrenching stunt that leaves you caring so much more about the characters, in between tears of varying emotions covering almost everything, save anger (don't remember ever feeling angry while reading this).
That being said, the male lead is a fairly weak character. Though the narrative and perspective often give you the chance to understand what he's learning throughout, it never feels like he really grows much, and certainly doesn't really grow any more endearing to the reader.
And Choko's situation does feel kind of like a cheap storytelling device. But even as I sat, thinking to myself, "Why such a big deal over something so simple?", I found myself overwhelmed with sympathy for her character's complete lack of working knowledge of the world. Her sweet innocence is really the foundation of this whole title.
The ending was sudden, but it was also really, really cute and happy and warm. I closed the final volume with a sappy, satisfied smile on my face.
Despite any shortcomings, this is still a strong title. It cleverly uses Choko's situation to attack some fairly serious developments in a creative way. It may not give you a new, unique perspective on any of the topics covered, but it sure hammers home on exploring the basics of human affection, friendship, love, family, death, commitment, perseverence, etc... And I defend my 10 rating with this: I couldn't put it down - it turned my heart into some kind of mushy rainbow of emotions with each and every chapter. Very much definitely well worth my time.
Also, there's plenty of pantsu, and nipples. Oh my!

It was touching and cute; funny with a bit of tragedy; realistically romantic; ecchi, but in a way so tasteful that anyone could appreciate it. I loved it from start to finish.
