From Del Rey:

Hana Suzuki loves only two things in life: eating and sleeping. So when her handsome classmate Izumi Oda talks her into joining the school hockey club, how is she going to survive getting up early, working hard, and playing well with others? True, the Grand Hockey Club is full of boys - super-cute boys at that - so maybe it won't be so bad after all…

This manga is light hearted and cute. If you are the type that only laugh at dark humor, then this is not for you. The humor is very similar to ouran host club, and as someone mention before, this manga is somewhat similar to ouran, but it is very different in its own way. This has nothing to do with sport, despite the name lol. They tried to be a hockey club, but have never actually completed a match haha. I really love this manga. I haven't encountered that make me laugh so much in a while.. It is a must read!!

It is extremely similar to Ouran High School Host Club, although they came out in the same year so I won't accuse either of copying. Ouran's humor is cheeky, but Gokuraku's is more jaw-dropping/laugh out loud.

If you are the type to go for Jane Austen's sarcastic and subtle humor, this manga may be a no no for you. However, if you also happen to enjoy random situations caused by hilarious slap-stick misunderstandings, this manga may be down your alley after all.

For one thing, I loved how there are lots of BL situations that are total misunderstandings---it gets pretty amusing. The girl's personality is a gag in itself: She sleeps and she eats. Rinse and repeat.

At the beginning, it was quite something. However, as the characters got more confused and oblivious about their feelings and others' it was not funny anymore, rather, annoying, cliched and stupid. So I skimmed through probably the last three volumes.

Meh, at least it somewhat "there" 8.4 probably a bit less.

god...i laughed until i cried. morinaga ai DOES NOT GIVE A FFFF. she'll write whatever absurd thing and not care and it's too hilarious. i really don't care who hana ends up with, even though it's obvious. please more misunderstood weird BL scenes between random male characters. it's too amazing.

don't expect any sports or hockey to appear in this manga lmao. they play like, negative one game XD im done. please make more manga morinaga ai.

Probably a go, if you are looking for a slow romance.
Definitely a no-go, if you are looking for a sports manga. For all it matters, it could have been Gokuraku Seishun Tabero Bu, or something.

Its just so amazing. Gonna make his short so just gonna list out the wnderful things in this manga. I like Hana`s personality. Not girly, always sleeping and eating (much like me). And lol to Natsuki`s use of his `thing` to catch people off guard. I love how they always think he`s a girl then he pulls his pants down and wink The romance between Oda and Hana is reaaaaaally slow. Last thing, I love Seimei and Wacky . They`re just hilarious. And the glasses dude being like a mother. lol.

I've re-read this manga for the 6th time now and still haven't got tired of it. Yes, there's not much plot on the majority of the chapters but the comedy and the lightheartedness of it totally captured me. The romance took A LONG TIME to build up and, truth be told, the focus on romance just started about several chapters away from the end of the manga. This story is more comedy than romance, but when it did get to the love part, it didn't feel weird nor out of place (unlike other mangas I've read where the romance felt awkward when the mangaka tried to integrate it to the storyline) . Morinaga Ai really did a great job on this one.

And compared to OHSHC? Both are good and everything, but I really prefer this over Ouran. How much do I love this manga over Ouran? Well, I've read GSHB six times, as I've previously mentioned, and only read Ouran once. You get the idea, no? 8D

This was refreshingly fun and witty at the same time.Comedy was great, and I pretty much couldn't get myself to stop laughing over their hilariously crazy antics. Although this really dragged on for some time, I do think it suited the manga well despite the twisted plot and all. You'd keep wanting for more even if it's actually going least, that's what I think.
True to its reverse-harem category, expect romance progressing at a snail's pace. After all, with all the other protagonists around, there's obviously little room for any romance, right? There is,however, something going on with both leads and I'm pretty sure you'll be quick enough to notice that.
As for the title? I assume the author wanted to create something purely out of her own wits amongst a group,so explains the hockey thing..except that it started to conceal itself a few chapters later, and you might even wonder why it was called "My Heavenly Hockey Club" in the first place.
Hana and Izumi probably make up the best parts of the story for me. They're both extremely childish that I somehow find it cute and interesting, although I wish, like the rest, for better chemistry. It's getting there, hopefully.
