While browsing in my idle time the endless lists of manga released for an interesting one to read I managed get wind of this short manga... and I'm so disappointed that it was discontinued, the premise was unique (for a harem yes, it is unique) and the setting had SO MUCH potential to exploit a proper story that could rival any other. My spirit as an avid reader and eternally in search of brilliant reading material is sad.
If you want to enjoy one of the really few harem ecchi's (I hate this combination, generally they're bad stories for idiots) that is really good (even with it's flaws) then read this manga and... feel sad with me u.u.

i really loved satan's character especially the "Feared and hated by the world" part that contradicts his personality i really hope that starting from the next arc the story would focus more on satan himself and not the princesses. i think that this story's plot is quite interesting and i hope to get to read this manga till the end.

I just read the third volume, and it was really nice.
I don't understand why you say it's boring, okay it's not a 100% action manga, but it is very interesting.
I love the graphic style, the story is going on well in this third volume and I can't wait for the following chapters ^^.

No really, I really just like sympathetic stories about ostensibly evil dudes who turn out to be awesome gentle mild-mannered amazing AND secret kickass.
I also like that for an ecchi manga, the girls are very smart, independent, capable, and strong. A lot of the focus in the story is a considerate portrayal of how the two princesses grow into themselves, and I really appreciate how complete characters they are in and of themselves, and not just a booby-bag for the protag to try and bang and get panty-shots from. All in all, this manga is really respectful and feminist, which I really love.

At vol 4, the story and romance begins to really show. This manga is like a rollercoaster ride, it can get very serious but then turns around and does something light-hearted.
If you like harem's and comedies, this is highly recommended. Each character has a high degree of dept and plenty of room for development. Most importantly, the main hero, though sometimes get into cliche harem situations, is a very likeable character. He is not a wuss that is common in many other series.
The only problem is that they place random fillers into the manga. However, they fun and gives us a breather from the main story.
I cant wait to see what happen next to the island, the romance, and the political development.

Shina Dark is about many things. This manga touches on topics as diverse
as politics, religion, prejudice, personal growth, etc. It does all this
in an extremely light-hearted and somewhat self-mocking fashion, with lots
of jokes and RPG references. This is a manga that tackles serious topics
without taking itself seriously.
One thing that Shina Dark is definitely *not* is a typical harem romantic
comedy. I don't think the 'harem' label in the genre tags is even
appropriate here. Yes there are a lot of girls on the island, but there's
not even a hint of romantic development (well, at least not until the very
end of the 4th volume, but it still remains to be seen where the author
wants to go with it). If you want to read that sort of thing there are
tons and tons of other series you can try. I do wish reviewers would stop
criticizing this manga for not being something it was never intended to be,
especially when the author is actually trying to do something unique and
interesting.
Shina Dark is far from a perfect manga. It does jump around quite a bit
and can be hard to follow. The off-beat humor isn't going to appeal to
everyone (though I like it). This is a quirky series and the chapters can
be hit-or-miss sometimes. But overall I still really enjoy it. The jokes
can be quite funny at times, the characters are endearing, but most of all
it's the unique take on a common premise that I love.
I can't claim that everyone will like this manga, but give it a chance.

it seems that the devil doesnt really matter in the story. This is more a manga about relationships/slice of life than a harem, which is what most people have been calling it as. It seems more political and the main characters just so happen to be alot of women.
edit: this was only until chapter 11

This series is a hidden gem. It's written by the same author as Mahoromatic and I think this one is better. The story's better, the artwork is better, the tension is better...I could go on and on!
The only reason I could see readers giving it anything less than a 10 is because it ends after the first arc and the second arc hasn't been started by the author. To me, it's such an interesting, compelling story that it doesn't matter.
To sum up: I can't believe this hasn't been adapted to an anime. I've read it twice and I love it.

i started reading it for the demon king himself, but it seems he's a minor character in his own show. i couldn't sympathize with the two lead girls, mainly because i found them boring. the world drama is somewhat interesting, and you kinda want to see it play out. and just when it was getting good, the series is "complete." so now i have to wait for season 2.
