the arc post study abroad was handled better. I felt like 1 volume (volume 10) wasn't enough for Sakura and Shin to reconcile. Plus, volumes 8 + 9 with Yuu were so boring. What made Kirai so entertaining was Sakura x Shin. I could not fathom why the mangaka decided to spend 2 (!!) volumes developing his relationship with Yuu. I understand that he needs to understand trust vs distrust so that he can reconcile with Sakura but that did not need 2 volumes with another woman.
loves the artwork

I find this very interesting and can't wait for the next chapter to come out. I also would like to say that I happen to like these artworks. People shouldn't judge the manga base on the artwork. There are different types of manga artworks so of course people will have different taste. You can't expect everybody to like the same artwork as you do. So I kindly ask you people to Please not say you dislike the artwork because I feel that is an insult to me. Also to the author and the other people who happens to like this kind of artwork. Even if it might not be much, but there are still some instead of none.
*sigh*

I really really liked this manga because the relationship between Hanada and Sakura was entertaining and sweet...but now it's seriously going downhill since
FINALLY finished this series and the ending was way too rushed (with 10x more drama that was totally unnecessary). Didn't see the need for the last 3 volumes at all. I wish I could rate this higher but I just can't with how it all went down.

Sakura went to study abroad (and didn't even freaking say goodbye to Hanada!) and now Hanada is sleeping around again. Once Sakura left, the manga has become VERY boring and I don't like the way Hanada's character is going :(

The premise has been done (poorly) a million times before in shoujo manga so I didn't have high hopes when I started this series. Fortunately, I was quite pleasantly surprised. The story focuses on the interaction between player Hanada and the headstrong Matsumoto, but it does not degenerate into cheap romance (At least not yet...I've only read one volume so far). Rather, their relationship is complex and interesting. As more is revealed about Hanada's history and personality you begin to understand that his actions are not as random or whimsical as they first appear. For her part, Matsumoto manages to become more understanding without sacrificing her pride or dignity.
I'm not really sure why this is listed as 'smut'. Maybe it gets smuttier later on, but while the first volume does have a couple sex scenes they are brief, not very detailed, and certainly not the focus of the manga.
The weakest point of this manga is the artwork. Characters are drawn crudely and backgrounds are often simple or nonexistent. Still, I can easily overlook mediocre artwork if there is a good story and interesting characters, and on that count Kirai delivers.

In the beginning his actual fetish is to steal people's girlfriends and then break up as soon as she breaks up with her boyfriend.
In one of the earlier chapters he pretends to attempt to rape (shoujo rape) his best friend's girlfriend so that he can get them to reconcile; basically the cliche "playboy tries to seduce the heroine with good intentions" from any other shoujo. Complete with the "I don't think he's a bad person" and the comedic "he's kinda cool" punchline at the end of the chapter.
Fucking amazing. Props to the author for fleshing out an unconventional archetype.
Edit: I finished it and wow what a shitty last couple dozen pages. Literally throws away the main character's entire psychology because "lol love". Not to mention forgiving a rapist because he's so cordial about it.

Yuu-chan was doomed from the start but a better girl BY FAR and should've ended up with the guy. Her entire personality, interests, actions, and quirks all complement the various issues the protagonist deals with mentally. Meanwhile the female lead's route would likely end with a murder-suicide in real life. It's a completely toxic relationship for the male lead.

i have put this in my Wish List a long time ago.. and i havent bother until threee days ago and i must say it was very addicting. at first the story sounded very cliched but even the most cliched story when handled with awesomeness in turn becomes awesome as well but what really surprised me was the fact that she
the characters were likable.. Hanada was cute, even though he were to appear to me in real life he would be on the 'dont touch, 100 % authentic asshole category' and Sakura, shes a really strong heroine, and i like it that the author didnt made it overly dramatic. i mean the key dramatic elements were already there, thank god she didnt milked it!
anyways.. the art.. wasnt that bad. twas kindda unique in my opinion. my one advice would be not to mind it.

but seems it was the missing ingredient so hooray for them..the characters were likable.. ok, i must admit i was a little turned off by the art but i figured i'd give it a go. I guess it's kind of like a less intense version of Mars, but everytime the plot starts to edge into "psychological", it backs off pretty quickly
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
Like when Hanada's deadbeat mum appears and threatens to claim custody over him if his dad doesn't lend her money but then magically wins some money and disappears into the sunset...
. But the characters are sweet and funny and i like how the mangaka spices up some of the usually cliche moments. I have to admit though, i'm at Vol7ch38 and i'm not really liking where Kirai is going Spoiler (mouse over to view)
I mean, how will running off to study abroad without properly telling him, make him trust her? *sigh*
...but i might have to edit this comment soon if it starts to get better : ) Anyway, if you like this, i seriously reccommend you try Mars!NICE

Yeah, the artwork isn't too nice. It'll definitely bother the reader a few times but it shouldn't be a reason to drop reading this because the plot and character development are great.
I can't explain why but I feel as if Hanada and Sakura's relationship was natural or very believable. Their situation is cliche, that's a given. The whole step-brother thing.. with the family.. But the development of their relationship is very nice and natural.
Read it if you are a shoujo enthusiast!!

Really great!!! I love it lol the art isn't all that great but as you read on it seems to get better and you won't notice it. Actually it really grew on me and it fit perfectly with this. So don't let the art stop you from reading this!!! I almost passed it over thank goodness I didn't. LOL I don't know why but one of my favorite characters is the guys mother even though she only appears like 2 times so far. She's really interesting. Favorite Part is at the end of Volume 6 <3 and the beginning of Volume 7 <3 XDDDD

It doesn't feel old or cliche, even if the setting is quite popular. I like both lead characters- they are funny and have their strong and weak points. The art isn't that bad, but you have to get used to it. It's a very good romantic comedy.
I had a very good time reading it.
