Description

Shiraishi, a hardworking college student who smiles even when he's upset, is openly gay. His family and coworkers have a hard time accepting him, with the exception of his part-time job manager, Kanzaki, who doesn't smile even when he's happy. When Shiraishi can no longer force himself to keep living with his friendly but unfaithful boyfriend, Kanzaki makes him an offer: “Want to come to my place?”
Shiraishi accepts the friendly offer, which may have been made with some more-than-friendly intentions.

I hate infidelities with a passion. That being so, I really dislike the last chapter. If it had been one time and just a kiss, maybe, but 5 times is really too pitiful, especially with his bff urging his to take the cheater back. If my bff's bf cheated on her, I would had been like hell no. Don't go back to that unfaithful dog. But I understand it's different in real life gay relationships. It's so much harder to find someone that's also gay or bi that when you do, it's difficult to let go for fear of never being loved again. Therefore I understood why he went back to his partner, but seriously. This guy has practically nothing good about him. He's a habitual cheater. He's a constant liar, or more like he constantly breaks his promise to never do it again, which is just as bad. He's jobless. He depends on the uke for his daily bread and yet does nothing helpful in return. And he chased his sex buddy instead of checking on the one he supposedly loved when he got pushed down the stairs. Enough said. That guy's a douche. I don't care that he was feeling insecure (that's why we have mouths to talk it out) there's absolutely no reason for cheating.

I've never a fan of cheating story but this psycho cheated 5 times and he enjoyed it
The rest of the stories are cute, just the last one is horrible.

The seme was the one who suggest they become lovers instead of sex buddy so they will only have each other. Its ironic that he the one who broke that promise. He said that he cheated because he felt insecure due to his unemployment. But he cheated before that so that was a sad excuse. He also cheats for "passionate sex after cheating"? Its gross and full of STDs. And "seeing the uke crying makes him happy" He is not simply sadistic, but a true douchebag.
The uke says he is glad that the seme come back to him after cheating. What a self-destructive and depressive thought. Many cheaters come back to one partner who is most convenient, best sex, least likely to get angry, or simply the cheater got used to that person around. No necessary love. Since if there is real and strong love, no one would cheat

The last story killed it for me, I can't take unfaithfulness. I kept hoping the uke would dump that good for nothing cheater. Unfortunately he's one of those week characters that keeps forgiving so... -__- also the friend makes me angry, not helping at all. Grrrr the rest of the manga is nice, just that last story *stabs stabs stabs*

one BIG theme in this tankoubon seems to be cheating lovers. And jerkasses. And open relationship.
I think I've been reading too much "CHEATING = DRAMA ! END OF THE WORLD NOOO!" kind of manga, in which case, the decision to normalize them, compared to those manga, became a quite brilliant one. I understand there are guys with open relationships and...so...yeah.
As for everything else, it's usual Kai Asou. Quite slice-of-lifey, quite angsty, and the guys all look similar.
And very cute chibis. Very. Cute. Chibis.

Okay, the art is good, the translation is average, the stories aren't new but not boring. But I could NOT get into ANY of the oneshots. It just dragged and dragged for me. Nothing too interesting, and no real chemistry between the characters for me.
I wanted to like it, but I didn't.

I really liked "A Place for Half a Rent", I didn't think it dragged like some people have said, and at the same time it didn't rush either. I thought the pace was good, the art is so cute, and the chibis are just adorable. It was funny at times, especially Kanzaki's expressionless face XD Not great in terms of plot, but not bad either. The cuteness of the art makes up for all of it's short-comings though. 8.5/10.
Second story was alright. Quite short and not much of a conclusion. I liked the ending though haha.
Didn't like the final story. I hate stories about infidelity anyway, unless the person who has been wronged makes a clean break from their cheating other half and finds happiness elsewhere. If it's just one mistake then it's sometimes nice to see the couple work through it and resolve their issues, but I can't stand stories like this one where they get back together after countless affairs. I wouldn't have cared if it were an open relationship, but when one person is hurt because of it like in this chapter, then I couldn't enjoy it.

For the most part I really liked this manga, but then Chapter 6 came along. I hate when the person who's cheated on (repeatedly, btws) continues to forgive/go back to the person who cheated on them.
Last story pissed me off so much

Both are freaking annoying, one of them is a stupid freak and the other one is a manipulative freeloader mf

I don't get anyone in this manga?? Everyone's either trash or weakass pushovers who can't stand up for themselves. I don't understand how Kanzaki and Shiraishi became lovers, their relationship literally felt like a repeat of Shiraishi's previous relationship, even at the end. Won't comment on second story because it was just boring to me. Third story, everyone was just trash, and it romanticises infidelity and toxic relationships. I honestly don't get it...
The art was pretty, that's about it.
Edit: I just realised the second story is related to Sorenari ni Shinken nandesu. which has been *highly* recommended by some people. Sighs...I'm hesitant to read it after this trainwreck...but I'm driven by spite so I will, eventually. Hope that is at least worth my time.

7 for first and second stories, 1 for the third. I'd say what I think about horrible seme, pitiful uke and weird bff, but xxxmikileexxx already said it all, there's really nothing to add.
