i fell completely in love with this story as soon as i read it
the action and art or very shounen like. This plot is good it leaves alot of opportunities for comedy adventure and great characters.
What i like the most is that romance will not take a back seat in this story as it does in many shounen it has a very sincere shoujo-ish feel.
Shion is a great male lead who is not stoic nor an idiot, he is talented, brave, devoted and harworking. also how emaberressed he gets is super cute.
Emma is pretty cheerful and innocent. she has a clumsy or ditzy feel to her. she is the kind of person who would sacrifice everything for the people they loved.

it's shaping up to be a really great read i can't wait for the rest.

*edit the layout of the battle scenes is really wacky and all over the place. also magic can do anything here so the powers and villains are super random. anyway the earnest romance still makes ti worth reading.

*second edit the whole dynamic of the family and all the characters is so cute i love it again

So Cute!

Cute manga, the kind that makes you smile every other panel. I love the premise that the guy is totally head over heels in love for a sincere girl who isn't thought of as extremely beautiful and popular for the usual shoujo reasons and that the guy is pretty quirky himself. He isn't some perv taking advantage of some ditzy girl.

I love romances where the heroine is pretty ignorant of how deeply the hero feels for her. I don't care if she's a Mary Sue character because she is lovable that way and isn't chasing after some cold distant "cool" guy. The love is pretty innocent but doesn't have the melodrama commonly found in shoujo manga. It's why I love romances in shounen most of the time where there isn't heavy ecchi and harem tropes tied in.

I like ecchi when it's used more for the girl's advantage and not the guy's. This is enjoyable and light yet showing depth when looked for by the reader.

Shion is just so adorable. The art is adorable in itself but the characters are just flat out lovable. There are so many 'kyaha!' moments despite this being shounen and the fight scenes are just as big and loud as any. Freaking awesome in some stages and interesting all throughout.

I've only read 6 chapters so far but I'm already looking forward to the next! The opening chapter was great!
Spoiler (highlight to view)
It's funny how even though the couple are already married and have kissed. I'm still looking forward to further development in their relationship.

I can't help but laugh on how the girl and the boy's role has been -somewhat- switched with Shion doing plenty of blushing -- which I find absolutely adorable! And I like how Emma isn't a squeamish heroine either.
Spoiler (highlight to view)
Her reaction to the Marouni's abuse of the dog girl gives me high hopes for the future. She's not a push over!

Hopefully, I won't be dissapointed following this series. Recommended! biggrin

Charming...

It was nice to see something with a real "romantic" theme come out of WSJ for once. I mean, I don't plan to give up any of my action for this manga, but it has its charm. Although I don't think the plot line is all that original, there are supposed to be only 6 plots in the world, and it's what you do with them that matters. Honestly, Emma is cute and unaware in a lot of ways that she's a girl. Shion is introverted and shy, unless in battle, and it's just cute to see the main character of a Jump comic act self-effacing, yet confident. Most Jump character either start out super wimps who find themselves in the process of getting stronger, or are strong and just get stronger as battle ensues. The art is a bit shoujo-ish, but so is Katekyo Hitman Reborn. It's not super hardcore shonen (it doesn't seem), but it deserves a chance to see what it'll become, because, from the looks of it, it'll end up being a battle manga. I mean, it IS a WSJ title. It might surprise us. But, mostly, I have to say... it's cute. It's just charming to a shoujo fan like myself. I am enjoying it for what it is, and I'm sure it'll change into something more WSJ soon enough.

Honestly, this seems like the best new manga WSJ's had in a while although I can't definitively prove that until there's more chapters scanlated. The art is good and the story could be considered typical although it seems romance might be a part of the manga a lot more than in other shonen mangas which might alienate the typical WSJ reader who is more interested in action than love.

Pretty Good

I don't really have in complaints. It was definitely fun to read, I enjoyed reading about all the different types of magic and I loved the main characters. The art was also very nice. The story moved at a pretty decent pace right up to the end. The wedding ritual would have made an excellent conclusion, but then they added in the bonds ritual (or whatever it's called). It was really sad, I actually shed a little tear, but that's only because I thought the story ended there.

But, alas, it continued a little more and I was excited, but I felt like the last part was just a little too..meh. I would have preferred to either axe that whole wedding scene, leave it with everyone parting, or to stretch out the part about them meeting a little more.
I mean, when they met it seemed like they recognized each other which wasn't very dramatic.

But that's only a small complaint and it came at the very end so it didn't really affect the story. Everything else was really good. I have trouble finding magical adventure mangas, especially good ones like this.
It had cute art, but it was still bloody, morbid and had lots of fighting. Check.
It had comical relief but there were moments you feared for the character's lives or some characters just scared the shit out of out. Check.
It had romance, but it wasn't overpowering, nor was it lacking. Check.
It started off strong and continued in that same fashion through the whole series. And this gets a double check because it didn't have a bunch of fillers, instead, small rituals were put into side stories. Check. Check
The ending was conclusive (sort of), but it didn't ruin the story for me or anything I just accept it as it is and I'm just happy everything seemed to work out for the "family" in the end. Check.

Good story. Give it a go. I read it all in one sitting, I couldn't put it downXD

I'm just gonna comment bout the ending.
Although it's rushed, things were cleared up pretty well. Most of all, the epilogue is beautifully done and gives a satisfying end. Definitely one of the better endings out there.

Just check this out after it was scanlated and this was quite good.

I'm not so certain how much of the romance will be shown, but I'll put my reservation aside for the moment. The story and the art style is quite good for a shonen manga, and the male lead isn't the usual cliche protagonist (some goes for the female lead). Haven't seen much actions, though, but hopeful this manga could find some balance between this and the romance bit.

So far, it got off to a good start, and for its sake, doesn't fall flat like the series of last year.

This was a last minute read and to be honest, I am so glad that I picked it up, I loved the story line, the characters and especially the comical aspect to the manga, I do hope they one day turn this into an anime one day smile was a lovely read and I will definitely be coming back to read it again.

Obviously, I'm not really a fan of shounen. But this one made it to my reading list. I first came to this when I was searching for a category, and so after seeing this title pop up several gazillion times, I decided to read it. And sure is wonderful.

I love their adventures and the growth of their bond in the process. Little by little, we're seeing their character and it makes you want to find out more. Shion's pure love (LOL, I love him) and Emma's naivety is a great combination.

10/10

Note: Damn the category list. O_O
