The characters are beautifully drawn. The end of the first chapter had me close to tears!! I already love this one and can't wait for future releases!! Hochuuami has done a wonderful job translating this one!

the atogaki is the best part

*sigh*. it just doesn't improve, does it. the stories remain shallower than a crepe pan, the emotions don't reach me, and i just don't believe these characters are actually in love, or angsting over having lost it. resolution happens way too fast; MY emotions can't ramp up that quickly. and all the prettiness can't make up for that; i'm even getting tired of the art by now because it is all of a sameness. it seems that minase really shot her wad with her early work; damn.

Very Dull

From the opening scene you know exactly how this entire story will play out. I don't mind plot predictability if there is something else to recomend the story but this one wasn't particularly cute, the character were not particularly endearing or interesting, the angst was forced, and there wasn't a single funny moment until you get to the extra about the cat. And that wasn't exactly laugh out loud funny either. I'm surprised that so many people gave this manga more than a 6 considering there are so many better yaois out there.

I'm giving two points for the art which was pretty good and only looked a little awkward a couple of times (I only noticed because the plot wasn't enough to distract me from nitpicking about the art) I'm also devoting one whole point to the uke in the oneshot who i thought was very cute. In fact, I read the oneshot first and decided to read the main story just because I liked the uke. I really shouldn't have bothered though. It was very, very dull.

Not her best.

Even when Toiki Yori mo Yasashii is younger it felt like a half-arsed draft for Uso to Kiss. Just that latter one was actually more entertaining.
Masato here couldn't convince me that he had a strong desire for Kazaoka for two entire years at all. Their relationship was so rushed, the love scenes reduced to a minimum, esp. the first one which should be passionate (since Masato got his wish fulfilled) but the entire undressing and fondling part was completely skipped *cry* - I'm a little disappointed by this poor and shallow development and representation of both, story and characters.

About the atogaki

I agree with @pleochroic. I wish the rest of the manga was more like the afterword and more slice of life-y because it added a whole new cute and realistic dimension to the story that was lacking in the the main storyline sad

beautiful! I loved this story..it was painful when the uke was heartborken and torn about the past. It was great story and the happy ending was the final touch that made go..."Awwww" ;D

One of my top of Minase sensei!

I am usually a bit on the fence about Minase Masara but this manga was a surprise cause I really, really enjoyed it!
It's intriguing, the characters are sweet, down to earth and likable.... there's a good amount of drama and heartache to feel sad over but overall a positive, happy feeling!

Overall a lovely story, slice of life without a huge unrealistic plot but more realistic and sweet.
Definite recommendation!

I loved it. The art, the story, the angst... Masara sensei always manages to toy with my emotions.
Great story!

Love it

At the end of the book she writes she tried to make Kazaoka a cool man.. sorry but that's not what I call cool: he's rude, arrogant and stereotyped.

Moreover, Masato's friend is another stereotyped character, the passionately-in-love friend that you know will be dumped without a second thought and that will act as if he wasn't in love at all, shrugging it away. He's just a tool for Kazaoka's jealousy and "cool" (rude) behaviours.

Even the drawing isn't the best I've seen, if it were not for their hairstyle they wold all look the same.... and this is not what good art is.

I'm really glad i check this author. This story is great and the extra is really funny about the thought of mako (the cat). I usually don't go for the drama type but it was good and have a great balance of angst and romance.
