Two authors.

Just found this out on a blog called Honey's Anime:

"Sunao Yoshida was known for his light novels which include Trinity Blood that was originally serialized in The Sneaker magazine. In 2004, Sunao Yoshida faced an untimely death a lung blockage (Pulmonary Embolism). The Sneaker magazine’s popularity decreased drastically after the death of Sunao Yoshida. The series is continued by Kentaro Yasui."

So if it feels like it was written by two different people, it's because it was.

If this hadn't been the anchor series for a magazine, it would have been left unfinished after 4 volumes.

I disagree with another comment about this being repetitive. If you've read up to the latest chapter ( chp 71) you can see how everything is slowly revealing itself. So many WTF, HOLY SH-T moments.

The first time I was introduced to this was in 2008 (anime ver). I'm amazed at how far this manga has come and thankful for the scanlators and translators for not dropping it.

Very Different From The Anime

There are some major differences between the manga and the anime
-Esther is the MC in the manga
-Abel hardly gets any focus as the manga goes on
-The pace of the manga is very slow
-The story line of the manga is very repetitive

I can understand why a lot of people like the manga because it has a strong female lead but the composition of the rest of the manga falls very flat.

This manga has everything a good manga should have. Romance? Checked. Action? Checked! A lovely girl who can be a killer in one second? Checked. A cool priest who kills vampires and who's not even human? Checked. Hint of shonen ai & cool bishonen? Checked! Amazing and original plot? Checked! Are you not reading it yet? What are you waiting for? Go read it now!

The manga is waaaaaaayy better than the anime, and has much more developed characterizations. The art is so beautiful, though a little confusing for first-time readers. I love Abel and the main lead female (Esther) is a tough chick as well, though too feminine sometimes and quite annoying..(Sorry Esther fans)..But you'll like her eventually <3

I dove into the world of manga after discovering this series and it's the best one I've read so far. The art is awesome, almost every page may do an avatar. the plot is leaving you crave for more from volume to volume, never becoming boring. The characters are well-developed and charismatic both good guys and villains. The only thing i dislike about this manga is the religious theme (I'm an atheist), though it's mostly the symbolic role, but I'm ok with it, after all if not for this Vatican thing, we wouldn't have the story we love so much.

The mangaka manages to balance humor and action perfectly, the small extra drawings in the chat bubbles that describe who is talking/mentioned have a great comical relief to the main story. The plot, up until chapter 35 at least, is really good, everything is starting to fit together, and you get drawn in, wanting to know the answers to the remaining mysteries. To add to that, there are some interesting plot twists and surprises that keep the story interesting. The only downside is the odd religious connections, and Esters costume is just plain horrible

It's one of the best manga that I ever read. the artwork is really good and each character have its own psychology well-defined
Why my rate is 9.5? It's only cause sometime the panel are a bit too full and it's hard to distinguish the images

Lots of drama and angst in the later chapters, but this story never fails to disappoint as longer running series usually do. I skipped some chapters here and there but what I do read still grabs my attention. I love that about Trinity Blood--gorgeous artwork, of course, and the story stays in focus. It's not like other long series where the plot flies all over the place. Definitely a must read!

Love at first sight

I fell in love with Abel and then fell in love with the series. It's a shame that it doesn't get updated very often, but I have bought all the volumes available. I love the style of it and how it doesn't portray vampires as strictly evil. I can't wait for an update, it keeps me on my toes!
