There were fights, friendship etc, the usual thing in a shonen series but the gag, about Rai and the other characters is just sooo funny!! They were fighting and all serious at one scene and then I suddenly found myself laughing!! Just totally awesome!!

BEST EVER!! + 5 years later revisit

10/10 Just started reading it the other day and it's so addicting! It starts out a little slow, i mean all that happened in the first chapter was him getting out of a coffin but the story picks up and never loses its grip. Its unique for an action series to have all the fights so one sided, but I don't think it detracts from the story because it doesn't rely so much on the fights to tell the story. (And personally I don't usually care about the battle scenes anyway.)
The art is amazing and even though its in a weird format, i think it actually helps the story telling because if you can only see one panel at a time, it shows the passage of time better.

5 years later revisit: Okay, so I dropped this series several years ago because it was getting boring and the other day I noticed I had listed it as a 10. Well this needs to be fixed. So I tried re-reading it just to make sure I could update accurately. It's worse than I remembered.

God, what happened in the past 5 years? Was it me or the series but it's really just average. Full of tired cliches, repeating elements that got old after the first time. What did I see here?

I wrote my initial review shortly after starting the series and it seemed to have a pretty solid foundation, but neither the plot nor the characters get any deeper. It seems to suffer from "the publisher won't let me cancel" syndrome or something.

If you want something similar but actually has plot and character development, I'd go read Lessa. It's long since filled the void in my heart left by this hot mess.

I really like the art, and, since it's a webcomic, I especially enjoy the coloring that sets it apart from typical manga/manhwa. The action is also nice, and the humor has elicited a few guffaws from me at times. There are, however, a couple of pitfalls to the story. The main character as an anachronism is a neat idea, and I'll even overlook the fact that vampires in this story can walk in sunlight (hey, at least they don't sparkle); nevertheless, the fact that a centuries-old vampire would lack any semblance of precociousness in adapting quickly to new surroundings does bother me. That's not to say situations depicting his naiveté isn't funny -- in fact, that's where most of the humor comes from -- but I certainly had a bit of a hard time suspending belief in that department. The other flaw lies in the story itself. Plotholes aside, it seems like the author is trying too hard to emulate the mind games, intrigue, and subterfuge found in Death Note. But if you're willing to ignore those aspects of the manhwa, then Noblesse is a fairly entertaining read.

Edit: I'm beginning to notice a lot of paralleling elements of this manhwa with Hellsing, but I'll refrain from further comments until further reading.

Lots of talent and lots of mistakes. First, the good things: great paneling with unexpected angles, cool bishies in ridiculous situations (vampire purification by ramen, wtf) and interesting characters. Bad things: huge plot outline with even bigger plot holes and repeated cliche solutions. Despite that, I'm hooked smile

I was a bit reluctant to read it because of the recent vampire fads going on, but the plot doesn't have to do with vampires at all, and it was really good. Awesome art (hot bishies <3), and both storyline and characters become explored and expanded in much more detail as the plot moves along. Rai's cluelessness at modern technology cracks me up every time, but the story also has its sinister side that is great in it's own way (especially evil Frankie :3). Definitely one of my favorite out there!

Well when I first picked up this webcomic I was very skeptical because of the "vampire" bias I had. (I was reading Trace when I wanted more webcomics to read so I read it and I absolutely loved it.) It made me laugh countless times. It had very thing I wanted comedy/action/decent plot(also the art). I hardly see /realize the "vampireness" thats supposed to be there. Give it a try I promise you will laugh at least in some point of this webcomic.

Rai's cluelessness of the modern world is funny, and never gets old. (Did bananas exsist 820 years ago? lol) It was also nice to see a real powerful protagonist for once. The whole "underdog" thing becomes a little boring after a while. The art is very nice and the plot is very enjoyable. I like the feel of the school life and the more sinister workings that are part of Rai and the gang's everyday life.

I also agree with the comment below mine lol

Nice mix of mystery and comedy, with a dab of awesome action

If you come at this manhwa for the fight's, you'll pleased, but I think the best thing about this manga is that there isn't any question of who's going to lose. Rai (the presumed "Dracula") and his servant are so much more powerful than their foes that it isn't a matter of "are they gonna win?" but rather, "I wonder what they're going to do now?" It's a story of a man/creature that knows he's the strongest, and is simply taking his time adjusting to his new surroundings. It's amusing to watch their leisurely attitudes, even in the dangerous moments. You'll be sure to check plenty of chuckles out of this one.
