Description
Having no experience in romance, the vibrant Ninako curiously explores the meaning of what "love" really is, and is surprised to feel a colorful range of emotions as she grows closer to the school heartthrob, the quiet yet gentle Ren, who also happens to be involved in a longtime relationship. With every intention of keeping her head held high, Ninako prepares to face the mental pain of this one-sided love that she had allowed to take root, facing a series of trials that would either contribute to her growth as a headstrong woman, or break her as it did with other girls.

It was pretty decent

Starting, I picked up this manga because the character was quite nicely drawn picture cover, and it had quite a high rating.
After reading it, I found it quite decent, but not those really good ones that deserves a 10. Hence, I'm quite surprised that majority of the votes were given as 10. People have different likings perhaps?
I would agree with most of the users that the flow of the story was good - each character had their purpose in the story and it comes naturally.. It's not like the other mangas, who pops this character out and pop that character out. In addition, the drawing of the characters were good (especially the guys).
However, there were also negative points on this manga. Firstly, it was quite predictable - When some characters were introduced, I kind of had an idea in mind what they would do in the story.
Secondly, the female protagonist was such a weakling , crying over the smallest things and getting hurt so easily. Yes, most typical shoujo mangas do that , and I happen to detest this kind of mangas. Lastly, it was quite repetitive (the feelings the girl had for the guy), and that made me seriously bored. Can't she be cuter and at least blush more when someone confess to her ? And seriously! The male lead (Ren), please freaking show more feelings when the female lead is around! The face of the male lead is like totally dull and expressionless, which really turn me off. Is he not suppose to show these feelings? Or does he not want to betray the girlfriend? The author did not seem to focus so much on the male lead, about the background and such. The author only writes them down a little (what the male lead is thinking). But I also do understand that it could be that the male lead is still unable to notice his own feelings (as written in the manga), hence could not express himself so well.
Overall, it was an enjoyable read as there were comedic and cute moments. I would like to stress that this manga got an 8 from me because of the good flow in story, as well as the good drawings. If this manga happened to have really terrible drawings, I would have forsaken it

Reasons why I like this manga
1) What wonderful art. I love how everyone is in proportion and doesn't have a funny sized head. The guys in this manga don't look out of proportion and the good looking ones have a boyish quality that i really love. <33
2) Good story. The mangaka is able to lead the story in a different direction than most shoujo manga. The character's reactions are more human, and unpredictable (in a good way).

About a manga and its characters before. I mean, I will like, dislike, love, and gush over characters (especially the men ) but Strobe Edge has this very humane quality to it that makes me love it so much. It's such a pure love story...a very true love story...about the complications of liking another person that's already in a relationship. I think this is one of the few manga I've read where the heroine is actually the "enemy" in some sense. In many manga, the heroine and the guy get together and then another girl will appear (whether it be old friend, never met before, or ex-girlfriend) and put their relationship in trouble. It's interesting to read from the viewpoint of an innocent girl trying to understand what it is to love someone and how to cope with it . I'm so happy with this work.
Great!

i love this, the feelings are so true. I'm just up to volume two and i feel her pain. She's not stupid, although at first i thought she was, but rather she lack the knowledge of love. It's so fun reading it. The adventures of finding your feelings, I mean usually shoujo's focus more of the romance, this one focus on the feelings of the heroin. How her feelings evolve her character and the characters surrounding her.

I thought this was going to be one of the generic shoujo stories... and really, I guess it is but this is the first time I've ever wanted to root for the not-main guy to get the girl. It's also the first time in a long time that I've been so absorbed in the characters... Good Luck Andou!
Don't hesitate to read this one!

It seemed generic shoujo for me, so I mostly skimmed the first few chapters. It gets much better after the confession, and I started to like Ninako because she doesn't go shoujodramaweepyness. She's still a bit of a bubblehead, but acts like a realistic person.

the summary really threw me off (like ew.. looks stupid with an annoying girl), but after coming across it a couple times, i decided to give it a try and actually enjoyed it. It's really not what i expect it to be until it gave a slight twist in the 2nd or 3rd chapter. It really does get good and i have high expectations in the incoming releases.

It starts bad but gets much better. I don't like the..erm..puffy(?) lips on the heroine, but the writing makes up for it. Right now I really can't make my mind up about which guy is better (minus the childhood friend, I don't really like him).

I gave this a try, since my friend recommended it, that's all.
It was really like a typical shoujo, and it was driving me nuts the whole time of how much of an idiot Ninako was. I would understand if she was in five-year-old, but she's already a high schooler.
I can already see the triangle forming from the first chapter. Those girls she's friends with are also annoying, how they admire the cool and gorgeous guy that they'll probably never talk to until something miraculous always happen to get them to meet somehow.
Also, it's a normal high school romance, just with another idiot lead.
