I really enjoyed the anime except for the poor ending. Friend told me the anime ending deviated from manga, that's why it sucked. I read this from the beginning, and it's more and more amazing with each chapter. At ch.80ish, there's a HUGE bombshell, completely changes the scope of this series. One word. Epic.

easily enters my top 10 manga's. you've seen the comments, it's definately worth the read, art, story both unique. the anime is quite good but rapidly deteriorates but still better than some others.
i wonder why it's compared to berserk though, berserk a vol32+ manga with complicated characters and all_time favourite villians (G*****N), Claymore is good, probably has the necessary ingredients to reach the stage where it can command respect in the manga world - dark fantasy.
..but atm it isn't there yet so i'll give it an 8.5, and definately recommend it

awsome. Just give it a try, I did and now I regret not reading it earlier. Won't say you'll love it or hate it because well, I'm not you, but it's just a story that should be tried.

i wanna rate this series 20 out of 10 but i dont think its possible. yeah i think this series is inspired to berserk. well this serries is simply superb.

well, first chapters are pretty slow, i'll have to admit, and it's insanely gory, much to my displeasure, as most of the female characters are pretty attractive. once the story picks up though, which happens i'd say around 70-80, it's pretty damn awesome. if you have the patience, just stick with it, and you may find yourself very pleased. maybe.

i think claymore is one of the best mangas i have read so far, though it's full of bloody scenes, i still think it is the best, especially teresa and clare. my other favorite characters are Isley, and rigardo, but sadly rigardo was killed by clare. i'm really looking foward to see more of forthcoming chapters. and one word to the mangaka. keep up the goodwork

i think in terms of story quality vinland saga would be closer to berserk than claymore. but even berserk degraded once gatts started to like, go on that classical animay adventure with some mahou shoujo and stuff way later on, and it became way less dark. i liked berserk because it WAS dark though =(.

i really like this series anyway. plus the drawings are fantastic.

..it's a very interesting manga when it comes to girls in skimpy suits fighting with swords. Lot's of action and nice art, that's about it.

The concept of the plot is interesting and..that's about it. The plot development pales in comparision to sword fights itself - hence making that manga more about action than about story.
