Description
The story is of Kitano Seiichirou, a very kind and pure-hearted young man, with a horrifying, monstrous face. People being what they are, they think he's a terrifying delinquent, and there are plenty of chance misunderstandings (coupled with Kitano's convenient inability to understand what's happening around him) that propel him into the position of "school guardian", a.k.a. head thug on campus.

The art is not that great as to why the majority of the manga readers around would find themselves ditching the series, but I tell you, reading it is really worth it. The mangaka's art style has significantly improved in the later volumes. You must have to endure the long duration of this series, though.
But, overall, it's really humorous and enchanting, only those with hearts of stone would never be able to feel Kitano's touch in their hearts.

This is the king of comedy mangas, others should hand over the throne and bow before it's greatness. Never have I laughed so hard in all my life. Art is crappy in the beginning but who cares? If your a true manga lover than you will give everything a chance! (Recommend reading past Vol.1 at least!)

A definite must read, if you like satirical humor. Kitano Seichiro is the most loveable unintentional delinquent I've ever come across in a series.
This one is so enjoyable and funny! Highly recommended!!

Angel Densetsu is really one of my favorite comedy manga. The story is funny, interesting and very addictive. The art is less beautiful in the beginning, but you can see that the art is developing and becomes a style I really like. The protagonist, Kitano Seiichirou, actually reminds me of the Joker from the BATMAN comics rather than a demon (also a bad/evil guy), but Kitano Seiichirou in the story is of course a very kind person.
The funniest part in the story is that Kitano Seiichirou's face is enough to scare the people away without doing anything; then the reaction the people (street gang or school mates) got who see Kitano Seiichirou's face is hilarious. I also like the Martial Art in the manga, they are nicely drawn. How Kitano Seiichirou changes the heart of the people he knows and how he becomes friends with them is very interesting and gives me a good feeling and there's a moral in the story: you can not comdemned people by their looks.
I was hoping there'll be an anime series for this manga that follows the entire manga (all 15 volumes!), since the story fits in an anime with "schoollife" and comedy theme very well. If I am right there's an OVA anime of 45 min., but I couldn't find it anywhere.
By the way, one of the character looks like Clare (from Claymore, an action and fantasy swordfighting manga/anime from the same author): Ikuno.

This series is extremely comical and I highly recommend it!
First, it parodies scenes from various shounen, seinen and other types of manga to great effect. The characters are hilarious because though they often behave like typical manga characters, the situations they're placed in make their actions and motives hilarious! Ever wanted to laugh at all those fighting manga for featuring over-the-top characters and absurd goals? Now you can.
Secondly, the contrasting behaviours of the various characters create a series of vivid, hilarious and fascinating scenes. Each character has his or her own views and reacts differently when facing a situation. This is rather refreshing from plenty of shounen and seinen manga where the characters exist only for the purpose of fighting or where every character seems to be a mould of one another.
If you're a person who doesn't judge based on outer appearance(the art), then this manga is for you. For, the art is pretty sub-standard in the first few volumes though the mangaka's artstyle has significantly improved. After all, Angel Densetsu was his first series and Claymore the second.

It's always funny and i can't stop laughing. My favorite character is Kuroda-san (The big guy who loses to everyone).
Soichiro (the protagonist) never fights, he either scares them with his looks or always misinterprets the situation and somehow, it turns out funny.

This manga is very repetitive and it's really predictable, but even so - I really like it.
