Needs a huge and deeper Imagination

(Might contain a little bit of spoilers)
Its a good novel to read so far I have little to none to complain.
Most people complain about the repetitive and dry plot?
I say the missing part is for our mind to play and enjoy.
The MC is a bit OP because of his ability to devour anything I mean anything.
But that is really expected I mean from the start it was said when MC became a hobgoblin with black skin that he have some characteristic of some ancient gods.
As for MC skill u can just ignore them if you are use to playing MMRPG
You don't need to expect every single thing just use your imagination.
That being said all the MC actions is inhuman after all MC is not human lol so human morality does not apply here.
I also enjoy how the girls love him I mean he gain an ULTIMATE skill in love making (lol)
He does not rape the woman he capture because he made a rule that the woman must be willing
although he let them have his aphrodisiac liquid (yeah MC is the best he do every girls first)
So far in I have read chapter 7 the rest no one else is translating so I'm doing it manually (Cry*)
Looking forward on translating the rest hahaha I can't wait for the others to translate it

Is this Fantasy?

This is an atrocious read. What a poor excuse for a fantasy writer. Not a David Gemmell.

The characters, environment, emotions are described sparingly. It reads like a timeline of the protagonist's life. Maybe it was a outline of a potential manga. To classify this as a novel is an insult. Mind you, this is the first time I've read a Japanese "novell". It's a manga without pictures.

There is only one reasons for reading the "novel", and that is you want to see were the manga is heading
.

Fascinating subject Bone Dry Writing

I've been finding that a lot of these Light novels have enchanting core concepts but the writing style and narration quality are what you'd get out of an autistic 10 year old writing a book report.

I can put up with it in order to see what happens next but you'll never get a really believable explanation as to why a character ever does anything. That said its always fun to learn what sort of game breaking superpowers will be introduced on the next page, so if that sound like what you're into read on and enjoy.

Good but stale

I read this a while ago but and never commented on this issue, but it felt really like a really dry read. When something comes up where normally would intrigue the reader, the author just glances over it in a few short sentences. I forgot the exact key moments but there were plenty where I was like "oh shit" then... nothing happened, the author did a short summary of what happen and that was it, it moved on. Maybe it isn't the author and it is poor translation, but I don't believe that to be the case. Prepare yourself to get major 'blue balls' when you read this. When shit hits the fan half the time it gets cleared up within a matter of sentences. Though I have these issues the overall story intrigues me, and while I may not enjoy the writing style of the author, the story is still decent I think.

Cannibalism

No, not after the protagonist becomes a goblin. According to the first chapter, before being "reincarnated" he lived in a world with psychic abilities and he had eaten a number of human psychics. How do people relate to such a character?

I decided to give this a second shot but...
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
The protagonist proceeds to eat every sapient species he comes across. Then terrorizes some human girls into becoming his sex slaves. I don't know whether they're suffering from Stockholm syndrome or something else but they watch him torture someone to death and then they're suddenly quite willing to please him -- every single one of his female human captives. Yup, it's really messed up.

After first few chapters the story seems to turn into endless repetition of "massacred enemies / got a crapton of new ultra mega super powerful cool cheat level abilities or items / played around with subordinates or slaves".

Wish Fulfillment Wetdream
by HikariBun

What this novel is, is the realization of a game/fantasy fanboy's biggest wish fulfillment dream. MC is ridiculously overpowered and gifted by the highest degree complete with a harem. There is a specific sort enjoyment to be had in here, even if it's clearly written for the tastes of young guys and not so much for women like me.

Except.

Except for the fact this kind of power fantasy has been done many, many times in online novels/LNs and done better. Perhaps not this exact premise, but many variants thereof. Re: Monster is repetitive and the writing is as rudimentary as it gets. MC is deliberately kept a blank sheet with very little personality other than being badass. Skills are listed with such frequency most of them lose all meaning and the plot is little more than kill monsters, learn skill, train army, with maybe introduction to new characters, rinse and repeat.

If you want to read a wish fulfillment fantasy with at least a bit of nuance, go read The Legendary Moonlight Sculptor. I can't speak for the quality of its English translation, but I have read the original, and it is just has better writing than this. The MC actually has an interesting personality, the world fleshed out, and the plot is always steadily heading somewhere with the MC's growth distributed in a way so that you actually care about each new development. The girls, too, while they are all still labeled as beauty, cute, etc. are actual characters. Not so much here.

@Mhaaad:
I feel you bro, I feel you. The manga was so interesting at first, that I decided to read the novel translation to satisfy my hunger if it, and then boom. Chapter 3. Still the same repetitive plot, with the same aspiration as Arc and LMS. While I'm not saying it's a bad thing. But then again, nor it's a good thing.

So yeah, if you like the LMS or Arc, and you want something to read with the same structure, plot, stock character, but somewhat, a better premise, then go for it.

But if you want something with the quality of Monster, Vinland Saga, or even "the Gamer" (which is a decent and interesting manhwa about game), move a long then.

Nothing to see here.

Repetitive scenario

It's the first time I read a novel, all because the manga was so damn good that I couldn't wait! especially when the manga chapters are Monthly!

But, I got bored reading this story after it progressed. there is events but not as much as you want it to be.
Soooo much repetition -> wake up, practice, talk to someone, kill something then sleep.

if you got nothing better to do but to read a novel, then read it,
It will hook you up if you like games.
