Description
From Impossibility: Morisawa Kai and Sato Tatsuki are best friends. However, unlike Kai, Tatsuki is completely unreliable, lazy, and ill-tempered. One day Tatsuki takes Kai out driving in his new motocycle only to get into a bad accident that leaves Kai dead. However, Kai's spirit ends up in a body of a girl named Fujii Marika. After seeing how cold and unaffected Tatsuki as well as everyone else was after his death, Kai transfers to his previous school in which he starts noticing flaws to Tatsuki's cool mask...
About the art; it really will grow on you, and the story + characters will make up to it. Eventhough the whole atmosphere is a comical one, fact remains that Tatsuki was the source of Kai's death, the manga handles this guilt really well and some scenes are very touching. In the first chapters, it may seem Kai was the big victim, but Tatsuki had his deal of suffering as well. (continues to read vol5) EDIT Finished! Well, I can only say, this manga has an ending. Though it may be not one you'd wish for, it's a satisfying one and in some way, it makes sense (in it's fantasy genre XD)
I Agree with some comments bellow, while im not that much of a shoujo fan since im a guy and all i have read a fair deal of the genre. . It started out good characters had their own personality, kai was still a guy even in a girls body while tatsuki was just tatsuki. . there was a bit of love blossoming at first but right at the mid point of the story it went downhill. . the plot then centers around marika and her love for her brother this changes the main characters as the side characters. . marikas love was superficial in my opinion. .and the ending did not satisfy me cause when i started reading this i felt this would have a really good ending to it. . It started with tatsuki and kai in marikas body it should have ended with it as well. .
as many said, it has a pretty unique story worth reading. the ending as everybody said is the only issue, kinda rushed, could have been more and better. but other than that pretty nice.
I love gender bender, and this is deffinetly a acceptable gender bender. one of the few good ones when the male character has an actual female body.
art style: not bad you will get used to it if you are a custom to naruto or ranma1/2 type of drawing.
i would have given a 10 but i give it a 8.5 just because of the rush ending.
i thought it was really well done so far as well, especially for the gender bender stuff.. some more detailed and some less, i am also disappointed that translation seems to have stopped. Why did tarahbee stop translating this series? they still seem to be an active group but it looks like all they translate now is Desire
