Awwwwww, its actually good, when I first read this, it was in my early days of manga, but after a few chapters I got sooo bored, I just had to drop it...I quess its because back then I had a lot of choice sigh* anyway I came back to this after about a year, which is now and yes it is typical but its a very rich typical, I feel like this is one of the originals(its well done) tbh this is exactly like that manga ...erm I can't remember the name but the titles pretty long and it has three names, the last begins with a H...or what ever anyway this is the less smutty version of it, so tbh I prefer the other one.I like it because I think I'm desperate for new manga.......(oh how I envy those who still have a wide range) :'(.

Oh my gosh I love it!! One of my all time faves. Read it a long time ago, but I still get that gushy feeling just thinking about it.. I absolute love the art the story and the characters, Everything about it had me hooked from the second I picked it up!

I am a glasses wearer and I can tell you that taking of your glasses, while changing your appearance slightly, does not make you transform from a "plain" girl to a "beautiful girl". The mangaka clearly used this as oportunity for an "ugly duckling turned Cinderella" type of scenario. The main male lead is so superficial; he kisses her when her glasses fall off and she becomes "beautiful", but doesn't think much of her appearance before that point.
In short, the first three chapters were enough to turn me off this. How I ever got to the end the first time (I was re-reading) is a mystery!

It's certainly what you would call a standard shoujo, not least because of all the cliches it employs right from the beginning. Socially awkward, never-had-a-boyfriend-before four-eyes somehow meets a seemingly flirtatious hottie and they end up hitting it off. Of course we have our rivals and ex-flames and misunderstandings but everything works out eventually.

Where it stands out and goes beyond the intial 7 rating it promised was the character development. Our characters grow. Karin, who's hid in some shell and feared challenging the status quo for all her life, eventually wises up and makes pretty big decisions for herself in spite of her parents' opposition. Kiriya is interesting: superficially, he hasn't changed much; but more discerning readers will realize he's managed to let loose of a lot of old insecurities, especially the guilt that's hung over him all this while, and become much more natural and relaxed around his friends. So this character development, I think, is the series' saving grace to differentiate it from the sea of cliche out there.

this was one of the first shoujos i read and it made me fall in love with shoujo manga...its a pretty good start for anyone who hasnt had much experience reading shoujo manga and im sure u'd love it...i personally fell in love with Aoi because he was like the best guy lead ever(well thats what i thought then) but anyway its a great manga filled with cliches,if ur into them, and it has a cute happy ending...it leaves u satisfied.

One of my first shoujo manga,( come to think of it this was the one that made me shoujo or romance crazed!) This is why i will always truly remeber this! I loved the Art, the Plot, Character/s and development and simply the shoujo-ness that is portrayed whithin this manga. I mean , you got to love the part where he takes offf her glasses and Love struck! XD CUTE KAWAIII
OVERALL i loved this manga, not because it was my first manga but it was actually a very sweet and decent mangaw which moments that make you heart melt!!!! HIGHLY RECOMENDED

The art is OK but the story is really overused. Shy, smart girl that is bullied has super hotty fall in love with her. Girl bully comes in and tries to get in their way. Girl and guy overcome challenge and start going out. Girl finds out guy is super rich but has a sad past and mean family. A bunch of other guys and girls try to get in there way. Blah blah blah they end up happily ever after.
Sometimes you need something classic but it isn't all that special to tell you the truth

this was a nice romance read nothing much more though..it pretty much just focuses on the two main characters. I thought they could have focused less on sex too...it was kind of awkward at a lot of parts plus..i would have liked the girl to grow a backbone.

Okey,this is the BEST manga i ever read, and i have read really many..!
At first I didn't like it so I stopped reading it, but then after maybe 6 months I became interested and gave this a chance and yes, it was good that I did it!
I read the entire series in one day and I just love it, it was about everything and I was so happy when I saw what happened in the end of the storie.

give this book a chance because after about 4 chapitel you simply can not stop reading it.
