It's cheesy, yet great.

There are a lot of different kind of people out there, so if it seems that everyone is the same, it might be a result of not knowing someone well enough. So noone is bound to behave according to someone's expectations just because his expierence is limited and mind - closed. With that being said: characters and their lives in this manga are believable; same goes for situations they are in. The art is decent as well.
Good, above average, romance manga. If you believe in romance, that is. wink

Excellent drama and romance

Probably would be the best shounen romance I've read yet, if the ending can close properly.
While it's not the most innovative in terms of plot or characters and it does use many clichés, the personalities are exquisitely developed.
Be warned though, it'll be a rollercoaster of emotions with Haruto, the MC.
Admittedly the beginning can turn a lot of readers off. I had to give it a second chance myself because the MC seemed so unrealistically pathetic. The start aside, the story progresses at a leisurely pace going from the troubles of Highschool to the working reality. Many of the twists and relationships are predictable, but some can truly leave you breathless. The artwork is very good, the tact in the sexual aspects is surprisingly respectful, the story is fine and a joy to read.

By the same mangaka who did Suzuka (with a lot less cringe imo), relationships are built, broken and reconstructed in an entertaining and thoroughly enjoyable manner.

The manga I'm sad about.

Kimi no Iru Machi is the manga I'm sad about. It used to be very good, exciting and intriguing manga, yet Kouji Seo did it wrong, making the manga worse, much worse than it first was. This is sad.

To be exact, Kouji did a very good job from chapter 1 to around 164; those contain drama, tears, love, romance, all you can ask for from a romance manga for boys. But suddenly, it was very obvious that he ran out of ideas, and therefore ended up making the story become a bad manga--boring and full of Fan Service scenes.

Now that the manga is ended, I should probably talk about its end. The final arc is not bad, just not good. It is not all emotionally beautiful as it could have been, but it still is, a little. I'm starting the next series from the author, Fuuka, now with the highest hope that it would be better, although I currently see nothing but badly inserted Fan Service stuffs from it.

The series would get a 8.5 at the very least if Kouji ended it earlier in a beautiful way. Such a big disappointment from the author of Suzuka, the story of Kimi no Iru Machi used to be even better than that of Suzuka.

Its actually a pleasant read. Very realistic and it srly it feels like you grow up along with them. However, the main guy has wayyyyyy too many girls falling in love with him. It got so annoying. But I loved it when he was with cute.

A while back, I wrote about this manga saying it was both good and bad. That hasn't changed, but I've changed my perspective on it somewhat. After reading the final chapter and thinking over the entire series, I can honestly say it's one of the best ive ever read, but the story tends to drag and become boring. The ending to Kimi no iru machi, perfectly sums up what this story is all about. A great read, but you need to have a bit of faith when the story becomes stagnant. Enjoy smile

Annoying and boring

It starts out decently with the usual "promise of a childhood friend" plot and the main character disliking her and the situation at first. Then it goes on in a very predictable fashion, with slightly annoying and cliché situations occuring, with rather uninteresting characters and sometimes absurd reactions.
It's a decent manga... but nothing special.

First off i want to say i really liked it when it just first started. . everything was simple, girl arrives and changes everything. . a little love triangle here and there. . the supporting characters had significant influence on the story and they where part of it unlike now. . it was all good up until he chased eba to tokyo. . everything went downhill from there. . new characters where introduced yeah they were important but what about the early supporting characters? their existence just suddenly dwindled. . and what really ticked me off is eba. . if she loves haruto so much why would she break up with him for some dying person. ." selfishness is not a sin! its what makes us human!" as the story progresses it just went to full retarded. . If you found someone new who loves you, cheerful, never cheated on you. . why the f*ck would you dump her and choose eba the girl who chose a dying dude on a whim just because she felt sorry for him!? to me that is just retarded (there is the saying of "move on"). . Right now the story is near non existent its now an episodic slice of life in tokyo. . But the thing that makes it even weird is the transition of this manga. . this manga was originally a shounen. . as you continue to read it becomes a seinen (you don't put sex on shounen, only ecchi) a really average one at that. . all in all it was good at the beginning which captured the title Kimi no Iru Machi = a town where you live. . the story in that town really captured the title but now its just not there. . you dont even know the name of town anymore. . The story is already finished all it needs is the end. .

I don't understand the negative reviews for this one ? sure it has some rage moments but at the same time every chapters connects well when it comes to building relationships and character development

i am a big fan of the author since his "Suzuka" days, and i highly recommend his new masterpiece to everyone

i think this is a good romance manga....though i admit it is little static in the latter stage...but i m not agree when people said that haruto and yuzuki are not good character...i think their character are not changable throughout the manga but their maturity know when yuzuki said to haruto that they shouldn't see each other anymore after kazama died..i really understand why she said's bcoz she know that haruto blamed himself a bit when kazama died.she knew that haruto always in guilt if he's with her...and in haruto mind he said he doesn't love yuzuki anymore out of guilt although deep in his heart he still much in love with yuzuki....when haruto broke up with asuka to be with yuzuki, i think he made the right choice.....he knew he couldn't make asuka happy when he knew he still love yuzuki very much that will be unfair to asuka...sooner or later asuka would be hurt no mater what....and i think the manner of his break up with her, he is sure gentleman...i think not many man would have done better like he's done...i admit he's not perfect but is anyone perfect in this world.....i only give rate 9/10 bcoz there are nothing perfect in this world...
