Description
[From Entropy]:
This is a story about aliens. Yes, aliens. Choi Sera houses displaced aliens in her home, where they all pretend to be UFO fanatics in order to explain their eccentricities. Sera’s job is to teach these aliens how to live in human society—not that difficult on the surface, as they ostensibly look like humans (except for the three fingers on each hand thing). They look normal, and they can communicate with earthlings via a translator that looks like a hearing aid, but can they act normal?
The answer to that is a resounding no. Watch as Sera tries to school the emotionless twins, Seunghyun and Seungmin (really clones) on dating (with disasterous results), tries to keep Hyunwoo out of trouble, and keep them all from being taken away by the UN alien hunter who’s on to them. And what happens when a translator breaks?! Find out in Safe Again Today!
I was still waiting for releases even though I read the last chapter. That tells you how the story is slightly incomplete... Though it's mostly because every chapter sort of have that "BLAH BLAH of the day" thing going on. My review is sounding negative but this is a really good read, and beautiful artwork for a manhwa. Really light hearted.
This is such an incredibly sweet series. It turns out it was meant to be longer than two volumes, but unfortunately, it had to come to an early end. Don't let that deter you! If enough people love this, maybe the authors will pick it up again. It could happen, right? Right? Please...? ;_;
this manga consists of a lively cast of characters trying to adapt to earth. The stories are heartwarming and also a tad tragic. Safe is a manga about breaking barriers and finding piece on an alien planet. I highly reccommend it to anyone.
lol I don't know if aliens as household guests are a common theme, but...
This manga reminds me of Blood Alone or Hourou Musuko. It's more of a slice of life rather than angsty, despite it's subject.
Safe Again Today is a seemingly light hearted manga with serious undertones, if you catch it. Oddly enough, the aliens seem to teach you a little something about humanity. But whether you do catch the lesson or not, it won't deter you from enjoying the light comedy, which makes you can't help but smile from the sweetness that the manga-ka treats her characters.
Aliens as house guests -- well, it's a common enough theme, although here it's illustrated in a unique and highly entertaining fashion. The humor is light, and more psychological than slap-stick. That only makes the manhwa more enjoyable, and it's fun to see each of the aliens reveal their idiosyncracies.
My rating of an 8 is tentative... I want to finish reading this manhwa before giving it a longer review and a fully considered rating.
