This is something....

This manga is amazing, not for its plot or its story, but rather for the pure feelings that are conveyed by the author. Shirou and Mei are both very adorable and lovable characters (in personality and artwork) They would make any fangirl or fanboy :X salivate like an idiot. The feelings of not being good enough or loving someone are very real and mixed with the unrealistic theme, it overall gives a very sweet and soft feeling. I suggest this to anyone with a heart for pure love.

I really enjoyed Shirou- as with all Shigeyoshi sensei's male main characters. The thing about them is that they are so lovable and so sweet. They dont have any hidden agendas and they wont betray the heroine (which I hate the most) I suggest if you are the same as me to look up Shiraishi Yuki Sensei. Her works are light but very good. Shigeyoshi and Shiraishi sensei I LOVE YOU.

Beautifully written, character-driven story about models

Ok, so let's face it - it's not remotely realistic, but really with shoujo, all real-life rules tend to go out the window. It's a fairly fluffy story about two models who happen to truly love and cherish each other. The art is beautiful, and the story is just the right length.

That being said, my favorite part of the story as the characters. Shiro is an absolute sweet-heart; he's incredibly cute and he truly loves Mei. His type is my favorite type for male leads. I've always hated the tsundere type of guy; the type that seems to populate the majority of shoujo. Mei, on the other hand, isn't your stereotypical crybaby shoujo lead. I love how even though she has flaws and weaknesses, she tries to do her best to overcome them through her own strengths. She and Shiro constantly help and support each other, and they're together as equals. A stunning couple in my opinion.

Overall, it was really refreshing and a nice read. Don't read it for the story or plot, because it's not particularly interesting in that sense, but the characters are so real that it makes it a fascinating read. I generally am not a big fan of shoujo as a genre, but Takagi Shigeyoshi made my time worthwhile. I'll definitely be looking out for more of her works.

Don't know if it's my weakness for (2x really) Cinderella-esque plot moments, for the beautiful art, or for the wistfulness that infuses all of this mangaka's work, but I love it to pieces!

I am already captured by the first chapter, and hopefully the story stays strong, because the art is good, but the plot should be a bit more captivating. despite what we find out about him and her though, i think its pretty adorable, and it should help her more, and maybe we'll find out the truth about her incident later on too.
