All souls of those murdered arrive at the Gate of Grudges. Izuko, keeper of the Gate of Grudges, presents each soul with three choices: pass through the Gate of Grudges to heaven and be reborn, refuse to admit death and remain as a ghost on earth, or haunt and kill one person and then proceed to hell and eternal suffering. Twisted and Beautiful

It's amazing how short stories can have this effect. After reading this, I just feel like the series really does ponder the motives of people even after they die. It's beautiful in a cruel twisted way. And the atmosphere ... quite depressing. It's a manga worth reading. Truly.

Like Jigoku shoujo but different, the last arc started so morbid but was beautifully different,in such mangas, they make everything twisted n perveretd, no qualms to make a story seem enticing but th author showed fatherly love existed and that is wonderful

There is a drama of this. I think it's made from this manga(or the other way around). People fond of both genres should try to look into it.

I liked this manga. It's strange, but thruthfull. Bit depressing though(we are talking about people rubbed of their lives here).
I don't think Jigoku Shoujo is name should be mentioned here- its different.

this was awesome. I loved at how short it was. no dragging at all. perfect. also a good portrait of human nature. and all of it's insignificance. breathtaking art, incredible storytelling.. the created atmosphere is perfect too. I am thinking of introducing a friend that has never read a manga before in his life to SkyHigh.

it's one of those manga's that leave something inside you even when you are done reading.

Great characters, stories, with a very unique art style... Nothing more to say really, pretty much amazing all around. If you love murder/drama, you will probably give this a solid 10. I don't even like the genre much, and I am tempted to.

i really like it but some were a bit too short iono just wasn't enough feeling to make the character "live" through the experience of what happening... so i guess it wasn't attractive but some other story aka the author one is really good.

The story reminds me of Jigoku Shoujo though: get revenge and then go to hell. What's the point? Its pretty stupid to say the least. Anyway but its always good to see the bad guys get what they deserve.

Great art and stories as is typical of this mangaka! The art is bold and dark and while each story centers around a murder, some stories are beautiful and haunting, and some creepy... manga noir with a supernatural twist. On a side note, this reminded me of Jigoku Shoujo in a way, although this manga has a grittier, edgier, and more mature feel than the anime (imho)...
