Description
"Tomorrow, I will curse my father..." After meeting with his father who has been apart from him ever since he was an infant, Ryou suddenly time traveled to 22 years ago! He was sent to the late Shouwa period. After that, there's also his father, Konomi, who is just three years below him...! With the unfamiliar environment and the anxiety from the inability to go back to the past just heightens Ryou's worries. While trying to recover his transparent-like existence, his feelings began to change... A story released by Reimon, a long genuine series, first volume! [BangAQUA]
As much as i hate incest, i would be lying if i said this manga was bad. It had such a nostalgic atmosphere and it's so much more complicated and meaningfull then most of those incest genre's. The art is fantastic, and at times the storyline was confusing, but it kept me hooked because i loved how strong their love was for eachother.
Hm... It was definitely a different take on incest! I give it 6, because of it being so different, because other than that, it's pretty a average yaoi with the uke being a complete wuss and seme burniiiiing with oh so much desire. Actually, the characters seem pretty awkward. Nonetheless, it was pretty entertaining, if stupid.
Those who are perverted and who likes stories about gentle and loving couples, would definitely like it, yay ^_^! I have to say, that the way in which the main characters found themselves in rather *complicated* circumstances and the plot itself were very refreshing and exciting. It's the kind of manga that I would re-read.
The art and story are amazing, as with all of Ike's works, but it did take me a little bit to get over the incest aspect of the story. You really feel for Konomi throughout, and so many times I wanted to just hug the guy. Even in the present scenes he looks like a little teddy bear, while Ryou looks like the older of the pair.
Edit: There was one thing that helped me get over this one, and it might help others too-

The son is the seme in the pair, so even though incest is "wrong", it doesn't come off as abusive.
I often ignore this manga then I was browsing Tears and Rainbows' site and the sentences on the cover got me curios. After reading the summary and a few comments, i decided to download it! kinda intriguing right? While reading chapter 1, It reminds me of the Time Traveler's wife ~ any good book if made into a BL style makes it really really REALLY fantastic! It will really get you hook up! so go n and read this manga! ~now, i should finish reading it > and check out the ending
This series plot takes you by surprise. Its not a cliche and the characters have deep thoughts and feelings. The series was just amazing and not a two minute light hearted read but it had it's moments. If your not Sure about this manga i guarantee after reading two chapters you'll be hook.
but nothing too interesting. as a incest and yaoi and shota lover, this should be up my alley, i should be horribly excited, but this don't really give me palpitating heartbeats. there's something missing here - the beautiful but a bit stiff art, the sometimes boring long winded sentences, the slightly dull characters, the age-unrealistic character design, the uninspiring sex, the overly stretched drama....yes, if only it is tighter.
but it is not bad. i won't say it is bad, it have some good points. people who don't read much yaoi may find this very thrilling. however to me, this is good for only one read.
This is just so wonderful. While reading it, it gave me a heavy feeling that I was able to feel what they were going through. For me, it was really tough and affected me. But this only means that story is beautiful. I love their very complicated love story, being father and son at the same time both guys. I love it. I hope Ike-sensei will write another wonderful and unique story like this.
I've been following this from the beginning and now that it is completed, my feelings on it aren't quite what they used to be. This started out really wonderful, but toward the last few chapters it kind of fizzled a bit for me. This is not to say that it's bad by any means. There are great characters and the story is interesting, but I feel some parts were not developed to my satisfaction. The ending lacked the same emotional punch which the rest of the chapters had. I liked some aspects of it, but it mostly felt as if it were thrown together in order to bring a conclusion to the story without enough thought for the story as a whole. Maybe I'm being overly critical? Anyway, I still really enjoyed this series and I'm sure I will revisit it at some point.
I'm so glad I stuck through this. It was heartbreaking at first but the ending is really good. I wish sensei could have given us an extra one-shot though (hopefully there's one coming). Anyway, a lot of people are against incest. But for me, especially when it's written this beautifully, I can't help but disagree and just tell them to give it a chance. This was a rare type of incest (father/son) since we always encounter incest between siblings, cousins, etc. Not a father-son pair. But we have to put in mind that at the beginning the other party was not aware of it, and Ryou, just couldn't help but to fall in love with the young Konomi. I think that if they met in different circumstances, say in the present, they would still fall in love with each other. They were just destined to have this ill-fated love. And it's all the more beautiful because they love each other so much to the point of disregarding morals. I don't know about you but I'm a sucker for, "as long as we understand what we have" type of situations. I'm so happy for these two. If sensei were to continue this I bet she'll just show us Ryou and Konomi growing old together, living happily. Ahhh so beautiful!!! She's amazing at combining amazing plot + beautiful love story + sexy scenes in one story.
