Description
From Aerandria Scans:

Takamura Uru takes her mother’s remarriage as an opportunity to strike out on her own and begin a part time job. Filled with the thought of “If only I could make someone happy…”, she begins working at Café Bohneur, a shop famous for cakes; but the employees, Ichirou-kun and Shindou-san, turn out to be incredibly unsociable. These two, though frightening at first glance, begin to change something inside of her. This is the start of a romance about Uru’s search for happiness.

Well i thought people were exaggerating about Uru, but it's turns out she is quite cute, in a non annoying way. I can actually see why the guys would be falling for her. Her most charming feature is her strength, she's no damsel in distress, if anything she's the knight who comes to the rescue.LOL

I like the bit of humor that zips into the chapters, along with the glimpses about their family background and such. It's impressive that the series stayed good throughout so many volumes! My favorite part was how there was an underlying mystery or secret, where we got certain clues in every volume, but not knowing everything 100% until towards the end.

I loved it! Absolutely adored it!
It had a great plot, had great characters and it was frickin' hilarious!
I adored Uru, Ichirou and Shindou! Ichirou's kid brother was awesome too! Actually, let's just surmise that I loved the entire cast in the series.
...Maybe excluding the old woman,, who was she again? Shindou's grandmother or something...? I forgot.
Ignoring my praising words, I was, however, disappointed in the fact that the mangaka gave Uru unneeded (in my opinion) love interests. Ichirou was already fine as he was. Sou..alright, I could make an exception for Sou.
It was still good, though. Didn't bring it down, but the ending bits made me sigh in (mild) frustration.

I mean, did Ichirou really have to still be in love with her THREE years later?! Sure, unrequited love and all, but what ever happened to the first step of moving on?

Just finished this not long ago, and I must say the author has done a great job with the story line until the end. Not quite satisfied for me as it seemed quite rushed in my opinion. But other than that, everything else was just nicely paced out. I would rate this a 10 if the end was wrapped up better!

and funny and everything else. I loved every character. I <3 uru. She's super cute that at some point, I found myself hating her for being too cute (bitter much?). I <3 Ichirou too. Anyway, why didn't I give it a perfect rating? That's because

this manga had me so depressed when everything got dark and all the secrets were revealed. I felt so sad for uru. T.T
. I fell in love with Abekawa Sou <3. He's so kawaii :3 I felt so bad for him (even though readers could probably guess from the start he's not gonna be the lead male :/ ) Oh well, if uru won't have him, I'll take him anytime. XD The only thing I didn't like in this manga is how everyone will forever love uru. Literally. Don't they deserve someone else? I understand how they'd give up everything for the girl they love (that's for you Ichirou!) but that's just too sad knowing that it'll always be a one-side love. sad (((((((((

Don't get me wrong though, this manga is AWESOME \m/. It'll get you ROTFL especially Ichirou (Banzai! Spin! And pose!).

Note: i don't recommend this those who get too attached to the guy who will never be the lead male. It's heartbreaking. Srsly.

The story lagged for a while and the ending was rushed but I spent such good times reading this manga, it was often funny, at times hilarious and always sweet.

The characters are total weirdos far from the clichés and all the more likable and personable for it: Uru has freaky strength and reassures people who point out that she's sitting with her legs wide open while wearing a skirt that "it's ok, she's wearing underwear", Shindou is hot-headed and unsociable and really likes to hit people, and Ichirou is an expressionless guy who falls asleep when he's hungry and can only be woken up by having food shoved in his mouth.

I'm not usually one for fluff but this was really adorable, most of the recurring gags still had me laughing (literally out loud!) even after the umpteenth time the sense of timing was that good, and the chibi faces were simply excellent.

The multiplication of love interests was a bit too much and unnecessary

especially concerning Ichirou, his character was already fleshed out and interesting he didn't need to be the 100th guy inexplicably in love with Uru, especially as he ended up being reduced to only that by the end (I'll also never get over his new haircut, his ruffled hair looked so great ^^')
just like the weird ~drama in the end.
That what little plot there was was simplistic and focused on a few characters + extras was what made the manga's charm, too bad the author lost sight of that towards the end to release more volumes.

Still, it's the kind of lighthearted, feel-good read that'll lift your spirits, make you smile and laugh, your very own Café Bonheur smile

If I had to pick something about this manga that makes it stand out, I'd say it's the humor. I laughed so many times. Somehow Uru's expressions never get old. haha Aside from that, it's a pretty standard reverse harem as others have said, but it's done well in that all the characters who fall in love with her are likable. I was slightly disappointed that it's obvious who she'll be with from about page one since I liked the other characters more. *cough* Sou *cough*

Also, I'm not sure if it got canceled or the author just got sick of things and wanted to end it, but the ending was really rushed, It felt like, how many loose ends can I tie up in three chapters (which is surprisingly a lot) sort of deal. It was mostly satisfying, but could have been a lot better as somethings were still left unsolved and it just felt extremely rushed.

I really wanted to hear about the manager! For a while it seemed like we'd get to know eventually, and then it was forgotten. Also the whole thing with Sakuraba being the father felt like it came out of left field. And the two slowest people ever realized their feelings and confessed in the blink of an eye, and not even a kiss!


Also, somewhere in the middle the author decides to introduce like 10 side characters in consecutive chapters and it gets kind of boring and confusing since some of them look kind of similar. I almost stopped there, but just keep going! It gets really good again after that! All in all, I'd say this is very good for what it is. Definitely read it if you want a good laugh!

After 5 volumes I realized that this was not my cup of tea. Yeah, in the beginning it's kind of cute, but it quickly turns out to follow a boring and cliche routine with every damn guy falling for Uru.

It kind of goes like this:
Uru does something clumsy and this leads to her meeting some kind of hot guy who thinks that she's weird, then he does something that makes Uru smile and - OH - time stops *every boy in the room stares at Uru with amazement* - and the new guy falls in love with her too. And as always, Shindou becomes jealous but won't say anything because he's oh-so-introvert.

This is truly (reverse) harem, and it's just too boring. It you're young and new to shoujo manga (i.e. hasn't stumbled upon too much cliche stuff yet) this might be for you. But for people who've read shoujo for a couple of years, this is nothing new and it surely will not surprise you in A N Y way.

I just finished the series yesterday night after having left it on hold for half a year smile
To be honest, unlike what some people are saying, I quite liked the end. Sure, it was a little too fast in my opinion, but I was expecting it to end like that.
I think my favourite guy in the series is a tie between Satsuki, Ichirou, Sou and Jirou ... they were all so cute and likeable!

Anyway, even though I knew where the story was headed, I was actually half rooting for Ichirou and Sou ... though Satsuki was definitely the best choice for Uru ^^

im sad. im happy. im overjoyed. im unsatisfied yet satisfied. im sad again, cause i've realized shiawase has officially ended. but im happy that it had such a freaking adorable cute ending.

im a lot of things, but i just know i highly recommend this to you, cause at some moments this manga can make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
at the end, you kinduh wish fairytale endings were real...

p.s. if you wonder how i felt about this manga in more understandable terms, i pretty much 100% agree with oinkmoorawr.

I really loved this manga, and I found it unbelieveably cute. Uru and the guys are really funny, and they work good as friends. The interesting thing is how the story manages to make an everyday job so much fun!

But then there are things which took away from the story, and that was mostly the fact that every guy that met Uru fell in love with her. She's a sweet girl, who makes friends really easy. A really likeable chick. But the idea of at least five guys liking her at once is kind of unbelieveable, and while each of them are endearing in their advances, it's a bit weird. Much too harem for me.

Another thing that ends up making it a bit boring is the relationship that happens between Uru and one of the guys in the story. They have this HUGE chemistry throughout the whole story, but they hardly ever do anything more than blush.

Aside from that, this is a good story, and I suggest it to everyone!
