Description
This could be any girl. Imagine being a heroine of a love story. Hatori also believed that one day she would get married to her childhood friend, Rita.

But that's not how the world works! This is a hilarious comedy that honestly paints a painful unrequited love story of this young girl!

Special enough to make it interesting

I think this manga is showing us a more in-depth of a side-character in a manga. Hatori's new girlfriend represent the usual main character - shy, not so pretty or special. Hatori is the mean, out-to-get the heroine rival who's also childhood freind with the hero, who is a bad boy. Seems familiar? I think this kind of plot makes it unique and worth reading since it's so different. this is probably what you're either gonna love or hate. The art is okay which is a plot and the scans are well done. Hopefully there will be more.

Heroine Knows.

Hatori takes it all.
I dare say that majority didn't like just because:
1- a lot are in favor of Hiromitsu and he didn't end up with the Heroine.
2- a lot are annoyed with Hatori/Rita
3- they had a different view of the story.

While on the other hand, I really loved it AFTER giving it a second read.
Yes I hated it at first but then again I understood another message.

It's basically a failure of a girl and a boy. A Different kind of showing character development.
Hatori had always been obsessed with Rita, so in the end, choosing him is inevitable.
It was also good for Hiromitsu since being with Hatori will only lead to a VERY UNHEALTHY relationship.

Hatori amuses me. The author is brilliant for making a Heroine like Hatori. It shows obviousness on how detestable, bitch, and just, addictive a person can be.

Another is that, Koda Momoko reversed the roles. Hatori is supposed to be the typical rival/antagonist in a shoujo manga. Then she ended up with the Main hero which is Rita.
BUT, consider this..... at the very end, *Spoiler* :
Read Hatori's last statements....Everyone is a heroine of their own.

All in all, maybe it's just not for everyone.

Those two idiots really belong together. Hatori and Rita.
There should be a solo story for Hiromitsu and/or Nakajima. The only two characters in the story that made any sense.

from the very beginning to the very end of this series, i've loved it all the way through.
i'm glad hatori isn't your typical protagonist and even though she didn't end up with the person the majority of the fandom wanted her to, she was happy and i think as the series progresses, that's what everyone wants for her to be the most (well, for me anyway).
i don't know guys, this manga was just great. i feel so upset that it's over but at the same time i feel so glad because she's finally found her happiness.
it's definitely worth a go! you won't regret it.

Total train wreak

As much as I like Hatori, she's a total train wreak. To say that Hatori is a bully, stuck up or a villian would be overdoing it. She's not confident, prideful or mean but rather delusional, insecure and naive. Loving Rita who has a girlfriend (Adachi) just makes this one really bad mess because you feel her pain and hopelessness throughout the story. Rita is totally unreceptive of her love and his girlfriend is such a goody-two-shoes to the point of nausea. While Hatori's behavior towards her is more realistic than friction. As for Rita, you'll probably end up despising him.The only spark of hope in this story might be that Hatori may wake up and smell the coffee. On the other hand, for those who absolutely love stories where the protagonist is redundantly kicked in the teeth ( i.e unrequite love, played with and two-timed) this would be an olympian contender, so eat your heart out.

Looove(d) it.

The first thing that really made me start loving this manga was the fact that Hatori is not your average shoujo heroine. She's "the other woman," basically. But instead of a Strobe-Edge-other-woman premise, where the heroine's still a sweetheart... Hatori is the mean, snooty, stuck up girl that always picks on the main character. Except it's HER story.

And, because it humanizes that stereotype of the mean girl bully, this manga is already awesome. But everything else about it is good, too; the art, the realism (Hatori looks like a wreck when she cries, for instance, as opposed to having big bubbly tears streaming down her face prettily), the other characters (Nakajima my queen!!!), the philosophical statements... it's a good one.

Update: so I think this manga got dragged out for a little longer than necessary; and Hatori kind of flip flopped back and forth and back and forth with her feelings in a way that got progressively irritating, but... still, I don't know. I really like the whole idea of "everyone's the heroine of their own story." And taking a character that's almost universally unlikable and making us root for them. But I did kind of... get really frustrated with the lack of consistent emotional growth. It was like one step forward, eighty steps backwards. And I do wish Hatori was able to develop some more positive aspects to balance out her negativity, but... but still. I think this manga had so much potential and it was still a nice read for a while.

Alright so I finished it. At first I was really into this manga I mean, the main character was pretty annoying... actually.. really annoying and indecisive and selfish but I mean she's only trying to find happiness right? But it started going downhill after
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
Rita fell in love with her. Are you effin kidding me?!
I mean of course I saw that coming, what else could fill up a 10 volume manga but
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
SHE EFFIN CHOSE RITA IN THE END!
I mean that's completely just... what the heck man. I dunno just too much back and forth drama, same shiet too. I finished the manga with this face " -.- "
Anyways, looks like it's 50/50 some people loved it, some hated it! I thought it was okay but definitely something I'd forget. Give it a try?

I think it would have been better if it were to be shorter, the last half of the manga was quite tiring seeing Hatori and Hiromitsu, though I really hoped they get together.
And it would be so nice if Rita and that supporting character (forgot her name OTL) got together, cause after all seeing them went through such a journey, they really did have some kind of chemistry

It was nice to see a shoujo manga from the rival/bitch's POV. That's why this manga is good.
However, it's not amazing. Also the fact that they had to throw in a love triangle made it worse.
But it's an incredibly fun read.

Spoiler (mouse over to view)
I'm one of those who wanted her to end up with Rita all along so I'm very satisfied with the ending. I liked Hiromitsu as a character the most out of the cast but I just couldn't feel the love between him and Hatori. It felt forced.
