This is my favorite manga. I found this to be the perfect manga. A great blend of comedy, romance, and yaoi. I've read this several times and I still love it. The art is great and the sex and plot is well played. The thing that is really special is the drunk sex. It was great from beginning to end(and I usually hate endings cause they always made me sad). I loved the ending. It was really funny. It showed what happened when Izaki was drunk. That was my favorite part. This manga is really satisfying(hit all the right buttons).
The only ones who wouldn't like this are either extremely homophobic or absolutely against romance
or a robot(without emotion). I mean, really, it's really sweet. Well, there is a one in a million chance that people might not like it(some people might have found the couple to be annoying or unreasonable). To those who don't like it because it's unrealistic, I would recommend stop reading manga and watch the news or go outside, there, that's real life for you. Let me tell you, there are much much worse mangas out there(with really ugly art and story, totally ridiculous). And manga's not meant to be realistic. It is a big fantasy cooked up by the author/artist.
I wish there were more manga's like this.(I don't care about originality and if everything was original it wouldn't be original anymore) I hope those who read it would enjoy it as much as I did( if you didn't like it then why would you start reading it).

I sort of liked it. Sure, it's not the most original story, but it's a nice manga to read on a rainy day. It's sweet, and I like the characters. Aisaretaino reminds me of Special A in a way..It's like the yaoi, smutty version.

I can't really pin point what I didn't like about this manga... other than that I just really couldn't feel for the characters what-so-ever. I wouldn't have cared either way if they had gotten together or not... I really didn't feel that connection between the two. And I really couldn't see 'sparks fly' when they were together. The manga just was lacking in... flavor? I guess... the best way to describe this manga is like eating sugarless chocolate ice cream... it isn't like it's crap... but it isn't anything like the real thing: yummy, creamy, sugary, fatty, chocolate ice cream... yeah... that's the only way I can describe this manga.

To be honest, I personally found it was hard to start and I had to skip roughly the first 10 pages, but once I got into the story, I couldnt stop until I finished. And like many of her other stories, I wanted more!! >_<

I love this one, it has this nice emotional battle that is well delivered. Confusion and frustration comes pouring out of Izaki has he tries to figure out his real feelings when it comes to Hakamada, but the truth was always there and finally he is able to show his emotions honestly. Hakamada is so cute and cool in how he loves Izaki, everything he does, is and was for Izaki.

I love how Hakamada seems so unemotional and unresponsive in the beginning, but then it turns out it's just 'cuz Izaki wasn't looking for his expressions. I also like how Yamakami-sensei imbued the last scene with so much emotion. I also found it funny that Izaki, who blamed Hakamada for Izaki's not being able to read his intentions, can't bring himself to tell Hakamada how he feels. The scene at the end that explains everything that went before made me laugh out loud!

the artwork's good but i do agree that the synopsis provided is a little misleading - it's more like an adult remembering his high school rivalry but falling in love with his rival... GOOD WORK! a must read...

i found that the developing feelings and interaction between Izaki and Hakamada were extremely awkward and unrealistic. it didn't feel like something that could happen in real life (i don't mean the plot, just the conversations between the characters)
Too cute story
