Description
From Solaris-SVU: After spending half a year abroad, Kinosaki Yuichiro is in for a shocking homecoming when he discovers that his inventor/scientist father has given his 3 dogs the appearance and abilities of girls. Now he is in for a ton of grief as he tries to cope with these changes.
After big sigh and totally disappointed-Inukami, I stumble and discover this raw-cut diamond. It is light-hearted and great for relieving some stress. Easy to be given 10, and there's dog, I love dogs, so it adds to the cherry points. Not to be compared to wild Inukamis that run wild and bite its own master.
The protagonist is a bit along the lines of a standard shounen character, but this is easily forgotten when you look at the three dog-girls. Each one has a distict personality that matches a dogs outlook making it better than most manga with character that have animal traits, since the characters act more towards their animal instincts.
This series has changed the way I look at mangas, before I used to not be interested in these things but now this series is 1 of the few reasons I get up in the morning and is almost the only I am looking forward to. In summary, STUNNINGLY GREAT AND I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS TO JUST ABOUT ANYONE WHO IS INTO THIS TYPE OF GENRE.
I didn't really expect to like this series. I saw releases listed here many times and gave it a pass each time. The description just sounds so...wrong. But the other day on a whim I finally decided to start reading it and I found that actually, I really enjoyed it.
It's certainly no great work of art and the premise does require a large helping of suspension of disbelief, but once you get past that you'll find what is ultimately a cute and entertaining comedy. Most of the chapters center around the dog-turned humans trying to adapt to human society. There is very little of the tired have-to-keep-the-secret shenanigans you might expect from a story like this. The dogs are actually accepted quite openly by the whole town and while that may not be entirely realistic, it is at the very least refreshing.
There is no doubt about it that this is an ecchi comedy, but it's the kind of ecchi I like. Which is to say that it's neither overbearing nor out of character. Yes, there is a lot of it, but that's kind of to be expected from the premise and it doesn't feel forced. I can only recall one instance of the sort of 'accidentally falling over into an awkward position' situations which permeate the genre and frankly that chapter would have been fine without it.
As always, Solaris-SVU does a great job scanslating with two volumes done as I write this. I'm kind of sad this is only a three volume manga, but I look forward to reading the rest.
Spoiler Alert. Too bad this manga was so short, the mangaka could have taken the story further and taken his time in developing the main idea of the story. Was hoping that the mangaka showed us more dog-like behaviour from the girls at first (i.e. eating from the bowl with their mouths and all that) then slowly show us their change through their masters guidance. All in all a fun read.
As the title says, this one is mostly a fan service read. Nothing particularly annoying about the story but nothing very compelling either. The art is better than most in it's style and detail. Seeing more works from this artist would be nice.
I really am warming up to this one. The artwork is good imo and the 'girls' are really cute. As for the zoophilia comments, well they're all clearing nearly human in intelligence and they are aware of themselves as individuals, so it would be more like interracial really, or interspecies, and not really beastiality. This is no great work of art, but it is a fun way to spend some time.
Zoophilia? What are you people talking about? Its like saying that if you liek the playboy bunny suit girls your into zoophilia. The are not gods. They are pretty girls with tail and ears and thats that. Very hilarious and funny. The first volume was great enough to make me decide to give it a 10. I am not sure that will be special in my manga list but for sure tis something new and funny and kinda of reminds me of the fun I had reading some ecchi manga like Eiken and Love Hina (no its not like those two but I felt the same kinda of fun). Well I am looking forward for the other 2 volumes to be fully translated. Well the second is but I want to read it along with the 3rd. Too bad is so short..
