its really a great manga, imo, one of the best yaois ive read V.V lol
ive never seen that kinda of relationship ... not one with 4 ppl..
yeah yeah even if there are things u dont get... the body speaks for itself lol

The first volume translation kind of made my head hurt. It did eventually get better, but by the end of the second volume I kind of wanted to bash everyone over the head with a very large steel hammer. Eventually I got fed up of everyone's playing mind games on his/her supposed beloved and just stopped reading it.

It's not really my cup of tea, but I suppose I would recommend it to anyone who has an iron patience with those who have zero relationship skills (zero, as in, to the point of absolute stupidity). The art is actually quite good, and there's reversi(ish)! Yay!

all these people deserve to be miserable, they all cheat on eachother without care. one of the guys says he keeps his cheating a secret, to "protect" his girl friend. which is BS he just wants to keep sleeping with her and the other guy. if he wanted to protect her feelings he wouldnt have cheated on her in the first place, or he could have told her so she can find a better guy.

well.

The art was good and it SEEMED pretty deep.

But the translation was so horrible that I had no idea what was going on, and I gave up after the first chapter.*

Since it's not the mangaka's fault, I'll give it a 9.

*Edit: Looking back now, I think most of it is just that these Japanese concepts or jokes do not translate well into English. I still think the translation could be worded better, though.

When reading this manga, if you dropped the fact that it's sexy, funny and witty; you'd see some really challenging ideas about relationships. The story basically deals with the idea of pure love and passionate desire. In the end, what the protagonists learn is something more complex than you'd find in a stock-standard yaoi story. That being said, it still has all the staples; hot sex, great art (especially considering it was done in 1996) and plenty of boy-love drama.
I'd really recommend this series to anyone. Though if you want a light read, this might be a little too heavy.

MOTONI Modoru Sensei has done it again! This has gotta be one of the best manga stories so far... with the best blend of angst, tension, complexity, fun.. love and desire (and smex)... gosh... and what's more... there's like no fixed seme/uke role... it's good...

Interesting plot, sometimes funny, sometimes sad... intriguing yet saound a bit unrealistic with a lot of understanding people if you get it. the smex scenes could be better but is ok... i guess it could be yuri too (really.. it would be perfect)!

True that it satisfies all of my yaoi cravings AND both of the characters are actually men. I mean, I hate yaoi stories where they make the uke super delicate that he's almost a girl. NOT IN THIS ONE! They actually switch.
The story is really good but Motoni-sensei's works sometimes leaves me confused and most of the time I didn't get it but she's known to do that with her stories.

Um, hmm. Yeah. Soap opera-ish, melodramatic, and half the time I wanted to slap certain characters, but it made me cry in places, and in the end, I liked it.

I'm not sure if this manga is my no.1 but its in my "TOP 10" or even "TOP 5". Its an interesting plot, with ups and downs, questioning the difference between love and desire. the ending doesn't give you a 100% solution, but that wouldn't be to easy, ne? Like ctmoes said really clever hilarious!
