From Tokyopop: Yayoi, a spunky high school girl, has inherited spiritual powers from her mother, and she uses these powers to protect people. During a fight with the devil Ura, Yayoi's power turns the devil into a black kitten. Now, even though Ura doesn't hide his desire to "eat" Yayoi's power when he gets the chance, they develop an interesting relationship: the two begin living together, and Yayoi takes her new feline "friend" on her adventures.

At first I thought "what a great manga" and I could just see the end when she heals his father or I don't know: When they do something productive.
And what do we get? An open ending without any hints to a sequel. The least this mangaka could do is create a sequel <.<

Good short read
Generally a very good and entertaining manga. (I read both volumes.) Characters and story development are interesting and humorous. Art is good. The only major negative point is the fact that the ending was... well, apparently nonexistent... a lot of loose ends are not tied together, including *spoiler* the relationship between Yayoi and Ura.

I only read up to Vol 1 and i could say that this is a really really great manga! a strong willed girl, a cute hot demon turning into cat, a love-hate relationship, sworn enemy living together, demons, mystics, and a good lovely art. What else can you ask more? well, except that this is too short. This has really a potential to be a good long manga, too bad it ended already. Nevertheless, this is HIGHLY Recommended and my personal favorite
good manga, the art is ok, but it's damn too short !
Spoiler (highlight to view)
Mugen Spiral has all the elements of a decent plot setup: A strong, beautiful heroine who is kind but isn't afraid to fight for what she believes in, and a gorgeous, powerful devil who's motives for his actions aren't always questionable. It's got fantastic art, with an attention to detail thats very uncommon in shoujo manga (especially in regards to Ura's devil prince outfit). It's pretty funny, especially the interactions between cat Ura and Yayoi. And the introduction of Ouga at the end of Volume 1 leaves much to be desired.
Unfortunately, we are left with an unsatisfactory ending. There is no ending to the Ouga arc, and the rest of Volume 2 is all sidestories and oneshots showing glimpses of Ura's and Yayoi's life together. There is no conclusion to their relationship, and no completion of any of the story's arcs.
It's a terrible pity that an interesting plot setup was shot down by a quick and unsatisfactory ending (if it can even be considered an ending). Read this only if you're looking for a quick shoujo that will leave you with only your imagination to fill in the blanks.
Mugen Spiral is definitely an entertaining manga - the characters are fun and the humor is there. Plus, the story is also interesting as well as the character development - plus the artwork is beautiful. (And Cat Form Ura is just too cute!) Just about my only issue with the series after completing volume 2 is the length of the series - there was so much room for more and the main Ura & Ouga plot was left open without a definite ending. But otherwise, it was a great series and I recommend picking it up!

i also saw it in a ad....and bought it after reading the summary...i only read 1 volume so far and i think it has a pretty good story line and the art is cute!!!
Has anyone read it?
Because I haven't, though I wish I could. I saw an ad in the back of another manga and went to Tokyopop in the hopes they still had it and--lo and behold!--they did. That's where I got the information about the publisher, but I haven't read it so I can't do a summary. It looks really good though!
