Kyo Aizawa's father is a basketball devotee but has been forced to quit playing his precious sport because of an injury. Instead of himself working his way up to the NBA, he feels that Kyo, his daughter should fulfill his dream. To give Kyo a good start in her career of basketball he enrolls her in Seishu High School which is known for two things: its extremely cute girls' uniforms and their boys' basketball team. Not only does unhappy Kyo have to pretend to be a boy during the day (the basketball team members all live at the school to boost the team spirit), she has to do it day and night. The super-star of the team, Chiharu Eniwa, may be a good-looking, basketball champion, but his attitude towards Kyo is hostile from their very first meeting. Poor Kyo ends up roommates with the evil Chiharu. As they get to know one another, both sense that the other has a secret.

Meh is about right
A manga about basketball with hardly any basketball. Has its funny moments, some are cliche (oh another girl disguised as a boy in the boys dorms how original), but at a certain point the writer changes gears and jettisons some of its serious aspects for absurdity and breaking the fourth wall. The lack of consistency and obvious lack of knowledge about the sport dragged this one down for me even after a decent beginning. It mainly becomes average and in no way does this deserve a 10.
That was funny, but honestly rather over-the-top at times. I appreciated some things, like how the female lead is actually good enough at her chosen sport to hold par in the men's team (why does this never happen?), but honestly, all the yelling and drama rather got to me. I still finished it, though!
The ending was also really subpar. It was all set up for a feel-good, happy ending atmosphere finish, with everyone accepting Aizawa and all, and then... two chapters of complete WTF.
This manga has hilarious punchlines, at times I was rocking from laughter, and it had good characters that made me root for them, even if they were a little dumb at times. I recommend it, but maybe you might want to rewrite the ending in your head.

this is really a funny manga. i was laughing til my stomach hurts. the romance is okay, not that great but its acceptable. there something lacking there that i can't put my finger on. however, if you want to have a good laugh, i recommend you read this manga. ^_^
This manga is on my top favourites list! It was exciting, dramatic and romantic - everything I look for in a good manga. What I also loved were the characters, it's never good if you have a manga you like to read but a character you can't stand so this one was a breath of fresh air. I especially liked the suicidal guy and I was glad that the mangaka did not turn it into a complicated love triangle (those who have read will know what I mean). Need I state the obvious? A typical gender bender in that there's all kinds of misunderstandings and near-revelations but that's part of it's charm - nothing like a good comedy ^_^ Give it a go, guaranteed you won't regret it.
Girl Got Game
I really enjoyed reading this manga. All along you know that it's not going to be a serious manga so you don't expect things to be realistic. The situations the main characters gets in are just hilarious. I couldn't stop laughing about the S&M thing in chap 25 XDD
It's easy to read through all the volumes, it doesn't get repetitive and the artwork is quite nice. I really liked this manga, it's a good gender bender.
Hilarious but thatz it
really dis manga is hilarious so if you are depressed then definetly read this manga. I agree the part about volume 7 especially chapters following rite after Yura is at hospital was sooo funny, absolutely hilarious. But yea thats it really. Yura is the most interesting character for me and there is depth to him, but he is not one the main characters really, after some time he just aboiut disappears. Personally there really wasnt nything feminine about Aizawa which i guess i didn't like. Also i didn'y like Chiharu at all. There was nothing really special about him or anything. I found it really lame when he didnt try and save Aizawa when she was being beaten up, and really would have preferred Yura hukn up with Aizawa. That said there's hardly any romance in dis manga. Just comedy really and thats k i guess for some people. Artwork is mediocre and bearable. Plot is interesting at times and sometimes completely frustrating and boring. At the end I really dis lose a lot of interest in dis manga.
This manga is extremely funny volume 7+. It's nothing like Hana Kimi, as the story doesn't get repeated over and over again. It's short and sweet and all the arcs lead to the finale. (Them two getting together) The mangaka draws funny expressions and without the gag parts, this average manga would not be memorable. Overall, a funny romantic comedy and the relationship is a cute one.
I really really enjoyed this manga! it made me laugh so much and even got me crying at some point heheh -->
Spoiler (highlight to view)
When they saved Yura <3 i found that scene really touching!
I loved the characters, they were all unique and interesting!
"Meh." That sums it up pretty well.
... Eh... XD Sure, many parts of this manga had me practically choking from laughter (mostly because of the expressions on characters' faces; excellent job there), but... meh. It wasn't very good. Now that I'm done with it, I just feel... empty. There's so much lacking. I found the only really interesting character to be Yura, but the manga barely focused on him -- except for maybe one or two angst-filled chapters, and then everything with him was magically better. Kyo and Chiharu's relationship was.. frustrating. The ending was SO rushed, barely anything was resolved... so... yeah... not really one I'd recommend. But, hey, at least it's pretty funny.
MAK NYUS!! Ow man~, it's extremely funny!
TWO THUMBS UP! Really really and really funny! I'd read it at least 3 times and i remember i hardly pressed my weird laugh each time. The story's extremely funny and Seino Shizuru sensei had expressed it really really good in her drawing. Reading it is very good for my health, Good Job!! (^ o ~)v
