It's a lot better than I thought. I honestly thought I would be reading about an annoying MC that would endlessly frustrate me but I wasn't frustrated one bit. The piggy from Accel World is far more frustrating than this guy.

Anyway I'd like to start off by commenting on the MC's decision making skills, to me they made sense for him to make. Before the body swap he was originally socially ignorant and awkward, which explains his bad decision making. Since he isn't used to talking with girls and isn't quick witted enough to think of clever replies, especially under pressure he continuously put himself in unwanted situations.
To me the MC is very innocent and naive despite his age. That would explain why he refuses to do anything inappropriate with the main heroine's body. With his zero experience with woman he has developed a delusion of the main heroin being a pure-hearted girl that he doesn't wish to corrupt. In other words he has put the pussy on a pedestal.
The MC is your everyday weak willed personality. The mangaka is pretty good for portraying the reactions and emotions the MC felt. Most single-minded people who read manga would think "if I were in a chicks body I would start doing all sorts of naughty things" in my opinion I don't think that is a realistic view of the situation. Someone especially a man would freak the hell out worrying and wondering where his dick went. If I were in that situation I wouldn't know what to do either I'd freak out but at the same time somewhat contradicting my earlier statement I would at the very least play with the tities. (yeah I'm pervert)
Well enough about the MC when it comes to the manga's plot if your expecting some romcom or even just romance your not going to find that here. Instead you'll find an interesting journey of a weak protagonist trapped in his crush's body. He tries to maintain her image while experiencing the ups and downs of a high school girl's life. At the same time your trying to figure out the truth behind his situation.
For me this has been an interesting read very dark but interesting. I look forward to the next chapters. The artwork if your not familiar with the mangaka is well done, but it could be a little more detailed but I love the mangaka's style. If your tired of reading the cliched massed produced mangas that we all know and love/hate and are looking for something different and interesting this might be for you. In my honest opinion this manga isn't for everyone but I suggest you find out for yourself and read the first few chapters you may find it as interesting as I have.

Pretty much sums up my feelings up to ch 22. MC has zero idea about the opposite gender, social dynamics, or even half ass lying. Not even the stuff one would normally pick up from mass media. Guy acts like he grew up as a hermit on a mountain without any skills to show for it. All that's going through my head is "This idiot, this idiot, this idiot, this idiot, this idiot, this idiot...."

Can't recommend this to anyone except those who like watching passenger train wrecks, or daytime soaps. Just about as ridiculous as those.

Ever seen a genderbender/bodyswap manga where the guy experiences being caught unaware and unprepared by a menstruation period?

This manga takes the bodyswap premise very seriously, fills the characters with anxieties and problems with not a moment of romcom in sight. If realistic genderbent psychological drama is what you expect, that's what you get, with zero fluff for padding.

Warning though: both of the main characters are complete social rejects (bad personalities too, not just introverted) trying to fill in the life of a popular girl -- with a dark secret that makes it questionable which of them is more screwed up. Dark with an abundance of psychological problems may be normal for this mangaka, but doesn't make it any less frustrating if not infuriating to read. The lack of comic relief whatsoever makes this manga enthralling but not really enjoyable.

One of the best gender bender I've seen so far, it has a very realistic side to it. It's quite unpredictable, though I hope it doesn't take a dark turn.

It's not unrealistic. He explained the reason for not doing so. Even if you don't understand it, it doesn't make it unrealistic. In fact, it's befitting of his character.

In the very beginning, I thought this was going to be pretty interesting. However, after the initial setup, not really happens for about 70 chapters. Its another case of an artist dragging his story out in order to pick up a paycheck. This series could of easily of been only 3 volumes without losing a thing. About 3 of 4 chapters before the end, the story picks back up and concludes.

Yes! Another Oshimi Shuuzou work with a paranormal plot device that ties into existential themes, like Yuutai Nova! is what I thought at first, but in contrast to his other works, I actually chuckled a little bit when I was reading this.

With only 4 chapters out, so far it has been extremely similar to a typical body swap manga. Except done in Oshimi's usual "surreal" style. There's a hint that the female lead Mari may have a dark side similar to female leads of his other works, but it's been entirely his perspective so no info yet.

I could see this getting really dark, though. For example, maybe he will slowly inadvertently ruin her life, while she achieves fame and fortune in his life and bullies or abuses him using his body on her body.

Four chapters out so far and only one word can describe this manga. So far, the manga has been not that dark, but given the mangaka's previous works, it will become spiraled into being a dark manga and I truly do want to see that happen. This genderbender manga will not be as light-hearted and comedic as most other GB series, so I would love to see what the mangaka has in store for the reasons behind the body swap. I would also love to find out what the 'secret' that Mari has that is said in the description.

I hope this one won't be as weird as Aku no Hana. Gender-bended stuffs are usually quite interesting, so I have hope for this one.
Though I wonder why this mangaka is so obsessed with loser male. Not the whiny, indecisive type, but just straight-up depressing male protagonists.

The manga has a lot of potential. Just 2 chapters in and nothing happens yet. The author is really clever because he is making his reader anxious to find out the reason for the body switch.

I just hope that the author doesn't cancel this series just his last work "Yuutai Nova". This manga has lots of potential.
