From Yen Press:

Neo-Verona was once peacefully ruled by the Capulet family, but the rival house of Montague led a coup against the Capulets, wiping them out. Fourteen years later, Lord Montague rules Neo-Verona with an iron fist. But there is hope for the suffering citizens: Juliet Capulet survived the massacre and now turns her sword against the wealthly Montagues in an effort to aid the poor. When she meets the son of Lord Montague at the Rose Ball, she discovers that he is similarly disturbed by his father’s cruelty. As Juliet finds herself falling in love with her sworn enemy, she is conflicted…

Is there any hope for a love that crosses enemy lines?

Not as good as the anime...

The anime had more emotion and depth to it--the characters were more deeper and developed (& I liked the appearance of it much better)...the manga has really bad pace and seem more superficial--things just happen too fast (it doesn't sink in as well) and important beautiful scenes & dialouge from the anime were cut and replaced with little tidbits that only still allowed the series to continue...

I admit that towards the middle of the anime, I thought things were going a bit slow, but really, the manga is even less than a summary of the anime...I'm wondering what they were thinking to condense a 24 episode anime into 9 chapters...

It's a real shame though...I thought the anime was cute and great, but the manga seems a little rushed (should have been maybe 24 chapters or something for a better length?...)...

When it's all said & done, I feel platonic and flat and emotionless after reading it all and am more upset about how they've ruined the anime than the actual ending which like the rest of the manga is skimpy, flat, quick, and not detailed...

I loved the anime, but the manga...>.< ;__; doesn't do the anime justice at all...

Very... very loosely based on the original Romeo and Juliet. But what can you do when you lose the elizabethian sonnets, and poetry in general?

The artwork is soooo much better than the anime in my opinon, as the shoujo/shounen mixed style works a lot better - 8.5/10

So far, so good. There's a lot of room for development. I haven't seen much of the anime version, but I definitely prefer the manga one -- (the art quality is so much cuter). I'll definitely look forward to this series.

A somewhat inaccurate version of the original Romeo and Juliet, but the deviation leaves room for the story to continue and grow... Very imaginative, a great rendition of an old love story!
