Who needs graphic yaoi when we have a bittersweet shonen-ai?

As I began to read it, I instantly thought "so dissapointing...it looked much more interesting from the cover and description, but when it comes to the real thing, it's not nearly as good as I expected."
But I SO changed my mind... I ate my words for good.
Mashita is one of the ukes with the most adorable personalities I've ever seen. I love how he teases Matsushima until the point it is unbearable, how he wants to make him suffer and hurt him even if he loves him. Playing around turns me on for the manga.
And in this case, Tenzen Momoko-sensei was a genious to keep the gap between them at some parts.
It starts with that distance and pain in their relationship, so if everthing were to be okay after they confessed to each other, it would not be nearly as good.
The fact that they had problems ight after the bathroom scene totally caught my attention as to how good this manga is.
And even when everyfthing was fine again, they had bed issues.
I didn't think it was too long, with all those too many fluffy scenes and unnecessary "married life".
And even thought Matsushima is dummy and stuff, I love his atittude in bed...somethimes he gets so dominant! Like the first kissing scene. And the way he cared so much about Mashita in bed was beauftiful (and I usually don't care for that kind of stuff).
Also, isn't Mashita a little submissive in bed? Special touch, hum?
Very good.
And I normally rank it very low when I dislike the manga.
PS: From the second to the third chapter, the art got SO MUCH better!
PS 2: They're names were similar to me, so sometimes I got confused =X

If you liked the pairing and pacing and illustration of the personalities in The Green That Was Reflected In Your Eyes (a oneshot from Unsophisticated and Rude), you'll love these two.
This one explores the concept of wanting to hurt and protect the one Mashita loves. His anger and confusion add to the depth of character and explain his initial cruelty very well. It could have been explored a bit more comprehensive, but I still liked it. Matsushima's pain was so vivid.

I'm not sure but...I really enjoyed this manga because it was quite refreshing, but it's not a manga that I would remember quite well. The characters are really different from characters in other yaoi mangas, in other stories, you might find a totally useless uke (all he can do is be cute, or stand and look gorgeous), and a jerk for a seme. While in La Satanica, like what DB2020 had said in his/her post, the characters are well balanced. This manga was quite a refreshing read for me. =^.^=

I didn't really enjoy this. There wasn't much buildup and couldn't feel any tension between them. I read through it just because I had it, but the stories were boring.
I totally love it ^^

I have become more selective of yaoi and this one is just perfect. Here is a story where the relationship builds up gradually without any drama and a bit of humor. Of course this mangaka is just known for beautiful artwork too so you cannot miss it.

The style is gorgeous and the story is not the complete rehash that most school life romances are. It is not without its share of clichés, but the characters are a nicely balanced. The seme isn’t overbearing, but he’s not without a backbone when he thinks he can have what he wants. The uke doesn’t run around oblivious, and is well-balanced combination of shy cuteness and straightforwardness. It’s short and sweet, and loaded with great scenes. Best of all, the main story doesn’t lose steam after the first two chapters, so all five chapters are on the main couple and not filled with random one-shots to fill the pages.
