a really good series. To bad the mangaka always have problems to finish her work... And it takes her long to draw... but at least the manga is revived... please, editor, make her work until the end
I picked it up again, believing that the manga will still be just as good as I remembered it to be... It wasn't. My rating went from a 7 to a 4...
The artwork is typical of 90s to 2000s: more or less identical attractive characters with fantastic flair for fashion, only differentiated by their hair color. And while that is not the biggest issue, it is something entertaining for a short moment before it becomes a boring yet consistent concept. Compared to its anime counterpart (which I have seen ages ago and am never interested in it), it fares pretty well. All in all, the artwork is generally okay and will hold for the rest of the plot.
Speaking of plot, it's got a lot of holes. It's like...the mangaka had ONE idea she thought would be good to write about... And then figures it'll work out when she starts throwing ideas together to make a plot out of. I can tell because some arcs still have a lot of holes but it doesn't get answered until possibly the next plot when the previous one has become irrelevant to the new one. By the third solid arc, it became repetitive in the whole "artwork stealing" routine with no new material or answers that'll take us closer to the secrets of the Niwa and Hikari Families. I think the glue that held the entire plot together was the basic humor and character-building elements of all the characters (and thus my 4* rating).
The thing that sucks about this manga is its extremely slow-paced in revealing the entire truths of secrets, the repetitive collection and stealing of all of the Hikari artworks, and the grudge between the two families. The manga is supposed to last a LOT longer but its constant hiatus basically deprives readers of the enjoyment. The mangaka should have just powered through the series to give it a proper ending, answering most questions readers have, so that she doesn't have to leave us hanging at the beginning of a new arc.

The anime could have been a long running and popular success but the Mangaka took too much time putting it on hiatus.
She should either think about finishing the story within the next few volumes or carry on writing it because its extremely more popular than her other manga's.

Very nice manga, finally seems to be finishing up now that it's been picked up yet again this summer. Really excited to see the outcome.
I must say that though this was a fairly funny and exciting read, I personally didn't enjoy it as much as I could have simply because it seemed to focus on the aspect/theme of "friendship" a bit too much over the aspect/theme of "love" as times.
But hey, that's just me.

This manga has got it all!!
And it's so addictive, there's never a chapter I was bored with.

I've heard it's on hiatus because the author doesn't have enough money to finish it....... But I hope she does because this series is really great!!

dn angel reminds me of another hunterxhunter... you can say it's on a permanent hiatus. i remember buying vol10 in hong kong (which came out about a month after the japanese version) in 2004 and vol11 came out about 2 years after. and it's been 3 years... we may just never know what happens to daisuke and his rivals in love, stealing, and whatnot.
DNANGEL IS MY FAVOURITE MANGA the starting drawings r kinda... not as good but she gets tonnnes better READ IT IT IS SOOOO AWES YOU WONT REGRET IT
