Okay. So. I starting this series out not knowing what to expect, and the writing immediately put me off. It's written TERRIBLY. The plot jumps, there isn't nearly enough continuity. Just... the plot felt like they were cramming way too much into too short a space, at times, and at other times, the exact opposite. A lot of what happened seemed completely random and arbitrary. Yet SOMEHOW I was compelled to finish this series. It's a good story. The premise is excellent.

That said, I couldn't help but think that it would have been even better if Hyun Bin really WAS a guy, the way things unfolded.

I didn't like the ending. It doesn't work. I like that it's a happy ending, but the way it's written leaves you feeling unsatisfied and unfulfilled. It's like. "Okay, so they've found one another again and they're going to be happy, yay! But wait; Hyun Bin . Wait. What?? WHY? What happened?? Oh, okay, I understand what happened, now, and surely now they'll get together." but when it all finally, FINALLY comes to a head, suddenly you're jipped out of any REAL ending at all, and suddenly they're together weee but it's soulless and unsatisfying because it just happens like that. *snaps*

Overall, I suppose I enjoyed the series, but I was also deeply frustrated and disappointed by it. I just wish I could find a similar story that is actually truly satisfying. I feel like I read alllllll that way just to be disappointed. Boooo. I give it a 6.5.

this manhaw is for sure my fav ever at first it was interesting in the middle it was good but the ending is awesome
so if you really want to read something cool then try this until the end and then you will know how awesome is this manga

The whole thing was very slow, but it was worth reading. I skipped a lot of the parts between the main character's sister/the girl she body guards and the main love interest. I also skipped a lot of the black haired girl who got raped parts. They weren't essential and it wasn't that interesting.

But anyway, the last few volumes were very much worth the wait. It was so sad, but then SOOO happy. lol, like almost too happy. Loved it. I can't stop smiling after that. So cute. =)

Anyways, the beginning was interesting so I kept reading, I wanted to drop in volume 10 but decided to continue, the middle is just a load of bull that I just skip every scene with Yunha and Hyunbin in it. I hope the end is alright but from reading the comments, I'm not expecting much.
Edit: After dropping it a while, and now finishing it I think it is much better. I'm not sure if I like the ending or not but I don't hate it and I think it's satisfying enough, but I'll only give it a 7 because of all the other annoying parts.

i just start to read this book due to get attracted but it is too long for me to finish up all the chapters so i read first 5 volumes and jump to volume 29 till the rest. however, i didn't even fill empty or not understanding. I quite understand the story and relate it...
btw, i gonna say very good ending and it's soo happy at the end!!!

I loved this manhwa. This is just the best. Its perfectly portrays love, pain, emotions, difficulty and happiness. It teaches the value of even the tiniest happiness. I read this in April and now I am downloading and re-reading it again. I am very sad that some people give very bad reviews about this manhwa because it doesn't deserve it. It is an epic love story. I understood the meaning of true love from this. I respect it a lot. I have a corner of my heart reserved for this manhwa. Love it. Anyways, I wanted love in the mask 2 where spring and bi rak oppa's son fall in love.

To this day I still have problems understanding Korean Manhwa. For one, who sports a couple-ring with his buddy as an evidence of male-bonding? What's with the 70s/80s sparkling-eyed-look; even on the male characters? Why is there always at least one psycho female and masochistic male who feeds on tragedy in the fomula? How about the draggy storytelling? Where's the moe and tantalising elements that are usually present in Japanese manga of similar genre? For someone who has a thing for gender-bender or BL works, I was very disappointed. Six volumes later... I've decided that I still love Korean food but I'll stick to reading Japanese manga instead.

too long and i REALLY CAN'T STAND IT!! even though this is really A GOOOOOOOD MANHWA i've ever read even just for at least 3vol. 2vol at first then 3chapters before end afterwards. haha)

it's incredibly slow and the leads, both male and female are annoying. The character development in minimal. I saw very little improvement and depth in the characters. the female lead remained ignorant and incredibly mentally weak. The male lead just remained a jerk.

Plot development was jerky. Things never really flowed and it was very cliche

Art was average. Like i said above, things just didn't flow and neither did the artwork

if you came here looking for a good gender bender, love in the mask is not it.

characters were really annoying. the antagonists just got away with anything pretty much and were unrealistic

my goshhhhhh!!!! i loved this manhua until hyun bin left, and then i hated it but i cant leave a manag until i finsh it so too bad but its fenny cause i found this manga when it fust had 2 chapters, and then like a year later, it started updating again... i wish i didn't find it againg so i wouldn't be so disapointed....
