One of the best manga i have ever read. Other works of this author can't be compared to it.

One of the most hilarious mangas I have ever read. I've been reading them since i was in 6th grade, and five years later, nothing has made me laugh harder. my parsonal favorite, much better than the anime.

This is a good manga, it's just...the female lead kinda bothers me; this is why there's no rating. The story is fun and exciting, from what I've read, and many wonderful characters. Like P-chan~! Some things get repeated over and not much of a plot to began with.
When I first started, I was laughing my bottom off. But, barely a fourth way through, I'm just tired of this story. Maybe I will come back and pick up on it again. I like the art really much since it's from the same creator of InuYasha.
Humor is a bit of the same (harassing the male lead {which is why I got tired of it}), and gender differences.

For those that can get pass this stuff, or just want a laugh and a lot of time, go ahead and read this. I'm just not one of them.

i have to say, that this manga was very well done, funny most of the time and the and the drama.... well cant say there was realyl any since each time there was one it turns into to something funny.

cant say that it had a nice ending in both anime and manga but the manga has a better conclusion than the anime. Well to tell u the truth i like the ending cause it is cool to be able to change gender, u can do perverted shit and will never get caught. well i like gender bender manga such as those.

nice manga though, worth watching twice

This is a great series. It never gets totally stereotypical, the character evolve, and it's very light-hearted. Ranma 1/2 is a great series to pick up on a lazy day, and because of it's episodic nature, you don't have to rigidly stick to order. this is funny and cute and very lovable, and its lack of plot contributes to those factors. IMO, the number of LOL moments and hilarious characters have made this series timeless.
If you're feeling down, just pick up this book - it'll have you smiling in no time. The only reason I gave it a 9 is because with so many volumes, the repetitiveness can get to you.

This is a really great manga, but it gets kinda repetitive at times, especially with it's length.

yeah so i saw the anime, heard Manga as extended and better, guess what i picked up these scans started reading, dam all them 35 volumes, and those many chapters, i loved it but yeah f&^%* too me a long time to read it, maybe a week and some days lol... DOnT do what i did read few a day lol but do read.......... oh my actually rating is 10, but i have to put 9 because i was disappointed at Akane so many times for her personality design

This is one of those manga that doesn't have a plot but has plenty of amusing antics to make up for it. While it is a long series, Ranma 1/2 does not have the drawn-out feeling that many other long series have thanks to its lack of a plotline and the sheer number of relationship issues within. Characters may seem to come out of the woodwork, but each has his/her own strange personality that adds to the hilarity of the given situation, and most are just involved for amusement, not for an advancement of a plot.

In short, this is a manga for amusement purposes alone, not for people interested in action and detailed plotlines. If you ever need a series that will last a while and keep you laughing all the way, this is a great series to pick up.

This is the best work of Rumiko Takahashi! So far is the funniest manga I've ever read!
