Description
From Del Rey:

Yaya is a naïve and trusting girl. Hard-rocking, butt-kicking Nana is just the girl to grab hold of Yaya’s timid demeanor and turn it upside down. Can there be anything that terminally shy Yaya and hyper-confident Nana have in common? Well, for one thing, they’re the same person.

Favorite manga as a kid

I'm sure if I go and reread this now I'll find issues with it, but as a horribly shy preteen girl with no friends and a love for visual kei this was the ultimate wish fulfillment manga. I've read the whole thing several times over the years and always enjoyed it. If you're looking for a great and complex work of art I wouldn't recommend it, but if you're looking for a solid 00s shoujo manga warts and all then this is great!

I really enjoyed this series. It was a job well done. The art was good, and though the story wasn't deep, it was funny and still entertaining. I don't understand the problems some people had with it, because to me the answers were clear.

Yes it was kinda silly that people didn't see that Yaya and Nana were the same person since it's not like when she changed she put on makeup or anything like that... And the reason why the main guy didn't say anything though he knew of her split personality is because
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
he knew it would hurt her
And the reason why Yaya is oblivious to Nana is because she's
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
unconsious when Nana comes out

I loved the characters, but my favorite had to be Nana. She's crazy sexy cool =) What I had a problem with though is why Nana became even more like a man than her cool sexy self as the story went on =/ And I liked Moriyama as well. He was pretty cool. But I think he should've told Moe and Seri off a couple times for Yaya haha

Grr!! I hate mean side characters. Yes, I understand why they're important but they grind my gears. Seri and Moe were just annoying, but Hano was just a downright evil B*TCH. But she got what she deserved so whatever hehehe and what was up with Shuko?! at first I liked her but then ... YUCK!

Anyways, it was a good read. Funny entertaining and I'm satisfied =)

Despite the cliched plot, I liked this manga. Yes, some of her wimpy personality traits were exaggerated, but I did like the character in general, although that part could be improved. Loved the goth cosplay biggrin The art was great! I think this would be a good live action K-Drama if done right without cheesy special effects. If it had a hot male lead and a not annoying female lead, I would certainly watch it. Not the stuff of legends by any means, but certainly worth a try wink

The only thing that drew me in was the art because it is similar to Mars' mangaka Souryo Fuyumi.
But it turned out to be a waste of time. The plot was extremely boring, and I didn't enjoy any of the characters. Not a single one developed/grew throughout aaall those chapters/volumes.

The beginning of this manga was absolutely interesting!!
The situation around split personality girl bullied by classmates
and dealing with her beloved was exciting))
it was funny to watch how nana pulls pranks on girls
and makes protagonist get embarassed))
however, it lasts right until chapter 10 or 11, when
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
protagonist starts to acting too stupid
he is pissing me off!!!!
why doesnt he tell her about her split personality?
why doesnt anybody recognize nana and yaya to be same person?
they DO have same faces, don't they?
even since nana doesnt use makeup, different appearances or something like that to
become unrecognized!
why yaya doesnt go to hospital or psychiatrist??

stupid character behavior is that what irritates me a lot!!!

Well, I really enjoyed this, I know Nana probably isn't the type of female to exist in real life, but who cares, it's fiction after all (: the other characters like Moriyama and Hano-chan weren't very developed, and neither was Yaya/Nana, but I still enjoyed the series, it's light-hearted, give it a read, It's not supposed to be a very dramatic manga to begin with. But, like I said, give it a read!

Split Personality?

In this manga series, the author delivered the split personality really well; that Yaya isn't exactly aware of Nana is something that kept me reading. Overall, the story wasn't all that great. If I would have to rate the artwork, I'd give it a 6.5/10. However, it is very common to make characters exact opposites of eachother and I think it shouldn't be like that. The shy and timid person can't always be meek and weak while the energetic and loud person can't always be bright and confident. There's gotta be a weakness for both constantly so that the weak wouldn't always have to play the weak role and the strong wouldn't always have to play for the strong.

Personally, I really enjoyed this series, it's not too long so that it drags but is entertaining all the way through.

Yaya's alter-ego Nana is a very entertaining character to watch. I find the idea of different personalities in the same person brought up by the manga very intriguing... is there another possible 'you' lurking somewhere that just needs the right occasion to bring it out?

Anyways, I thought the character development for the main character in this series was done quite well, with Yaya getting stronger as a person as it goes on. I found her love interest much more believable than the average shojo manga hero which was good.

Overall I would definitely recommend this manga for shojo fans, and for those who like 'alter-ego' stories (eg DN Angel, YuGiOh!)
