Hehehe.
I love these types of stories. There's the promise of romance, a nice protagonist I'm glad the story is following, cool characters.

I really am happy this is being scanlated quite often<33

I really love the main character!! Her personality was superb(what I was looking for) and I think it'll be her personality that bring the male lead closer to her. Anticipating the progress!

A little irritated at first, but it gets better

This one had quite a few bad reviews but I decided to read it anyways, and that was a right choice.
What I like about this manga are the female lead, the grand duke and the pleasing clean art. The female lead is neither stupid nor too naive, but I'd rather say that she's a unique girl. She isn't someone we have seen before - innocent, sweet and caring, yet so bold and quirky. Grand duke the male lead isn't the typical bad-tempered and mean male character, he is very kind and wise toward his people, he just has his own principles and sense of just. My other fave would be the quirky and playful assassin. The plot is also good, and the development isn't bad either.
What irritated me was the way some characters act toward the female lead. Treice (only when they first met) and Reiden (almost always) doesn't even listen to her and act only based on their feelings toward grand duke. Even when she says that she wants to go back/stay or that she's happy with her life as his wife, they still act like they didn't hear a thing and try to drag her out of the place. And also, the maid claims to be the duke's lover, while he doesn't even show any affection, and even try to harm her really gets on my nerves. However it does get better later on, so that problem's solved. The later part of the manga is actually a nice and sweet read.

Too many annoying parts.. Cute otherwise.
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
she is wedding a ass that ends up being killed on the alter. She is then wed to a conceded guy that has a maid that is his mistress?! And he lets her run the household and his wife. He's stupid. She's stupid. But the plot otherwise is cool. And their is this kid that tries to interfere with them. But he gets back stabbed in the end and adopted by the duke he hates.

It's a very unique manga. First of all, I've never come across a character such as Alicia and I feel that her personality fit very well with Licen. The plot wasn't super amazing but it was interesting enough to make me read to the end. The romance isn't sappy or corny or cliche at all, it was also unique and wasn't rushed or anything. Their relationship is very odd but weirdly lovable and cute.
I know i've repeated this many times but overall it's just a very DIFFERENT manga. give it a try!

If you love a concise, well-executed storyline that isn't overly complicated, or cute, non-cliche characters, read this. Alicia is adorable. Her situation is set up for her to just watch and stand by, but she's got her own will too. It's one of the most unique ways I've seen her character type used. The other characters have distinct personalities as well. The novel it was based off of was obviously very good, and the artist really captured the mood.
Good stuff.

It was a pretty good read - something to save for when you're bored and have nothing else to do.

Pros :
1. Hot guys
2. Suprises you
3. Art work was good

Cons :
1. Heroine is a little too dim-witted
2. A lot of back-stabbing
3. Personally, I didn't like how the story went, but it wasn't like something drastic happened that made me feel that way. I just would have done it differently.

I LOVED Ruark. He was soooo adorable.

He had me there at the end of the last couple chapters. Totally wasn't expecting that priest-guy either.

Its pretty rare for me to like shoujo from just few chapters however this heroine is something else. Even if it doesn`t turn out to be a masterpiece or what-not I would definitely remember the title for the great art and unique heroine smile

Could have been better in my opinion. I liked the theme though.

The beginning started off brilliantly and I love Alicia. She was totally uncaring when her husband was killed in front of her, she likes creepy things, she doesn't get scared, she's stupidly brave, and things just don't bother her.

Then there's Kashburn...oh Kashburn had so much more potential. As soon as I saw how Alicia was and then learned she was taking a "Tyrant" as her second husband I knew where this was going and it sort of went in that direction, but not like I hoped.

I thought: Alicia, who is not your average aristocrat, was going to surprise this "evil" man and win his love and maybe change him. But geez that was poorly executed as well. Kashburn was more misunderstood than evil so there was really nothing for Alicia to change about him and I couldn't tell if she loved Kashburn or if she was just doing her "wifely" duties. Afterall she's perfectly fine with his alleged mistress, Nora.

At least Kashburn seemed to love her romantically which is good because their relationship was borderline siblings.

My favorite characters were actually Ruark and Nora, they were so funny. And in the end this just wasn't a good read. Some people come up with such brilliant ideas that just fall apart due to lack of planning or whatever. This had so much potential!

I really agree with shinorei smile you really just express how I feel about the heroine.
I'm really interested to read the novel version now because of how different this plot and character are from other's I've read before and I found it quiet interesting.
