Cheesy Title, Hilarious Story

I had my doubts about where this was headed from the first volume and the title, but once you get to volume two the series subverts expectations and gets really funny. Not every arc is fantastic, but most of the time it's throughly entertaining. Worth a read if you like comedy.

Cliche that works

Despite its differences to mainstream shoujo, this work is still pretty much a mainstream shoujo work and it has many of the shoujo cliches that you find everywhere... what makes this shoujo different and I think superior to most other mainstream shoujo is that its cliches actually work. They are not just repetitions of same-old-tired storylines and images but actually have some level of depth and quirky comedy to them that makes you smile.

I found this quite a light hearted read and fun. It is nothing great, but it is definitely decent. I especially like the heroine as she, despite the cliches, has a strong and blunt character which shoujo heroines usually lack.

I had doubts when I first researched about the manga. My only reason for reading this was out of boredom. I was a bit unsettled because of the plot. I mean why is she so crazy to find love? I don't like girls chasing after guys so I was really hesitant to read this. However, I loved every chapter of it. Haruna is one of those heart-warming heroines. The love between her and Yoh is solid. Nothing can break them apart. Yoh's personality is also something to look forward to. All in all, you MUST read this one. Don't judge it until you've read it. wink

This was the first manga that i read and i think it was a good one to start with. This manga started my obsession with manga: it ruined my life biggrin It is SO funny. Pluss the characters were lovable. Yoh is so cool and is actually nice after the first few chapters. Haruna is so nieve and sometimes just plain dumb that she makes me laugh. I really like their friends too. This is a fun and light read, deffinatly a must read if you just want a good laugh.

Wth. This series is awesome and even got a live action movie for it. Maybe in the future we'll see an anime. My love story is cute and awesome too. I don't see why ppl hate this but than again everybody wants to complain about something. Story is kind of predictable but when i read tis i wasn't predicting anything and laugh and enjoy every minute of it. i love vol 1-7 and than 8-10 was ok. 11-15 was a real treat and actually it didn't take 15 vols to finish it because it truly ended at 13. and not even that long considering a lot of other series last much longer then this. Boys over flowers, fruits basket, kimi ni todoke, wallflower, vampire knights, ouran high school, skip beat, etc. vol 14-15 only became published due to the live action flim but honestly couldn't wait to read more since this was a cute story. the only downside to this was not seeing them get married or have children. Seeing them have a issue with them making love in vol 14 was kind of annoying especially with it being a big deal after trying it 3 times already. but oh well. i love it till the end.

Realistic Enough to be Relatable

But not so much that it's boring. The characters are sweet, flawed, and truly care for each other. Haruna and Yoh make a great couple. The compliment each other really well, and the 'will they/wont they' doesn't go on too long. Great read, perfect length, and a great slice of life romance.

This manga rocked! The romance is sooo sweet and the art is great I can't stand a manga with bad art. Also this manga ends well which is essential for a 10/10 score ^_~ loved every bit of it!
As for the comment beneath me, there is a sequel:

This manga has a nice storyline, but it feels like it moves a little slow sometimes. The first several chapters did not really get me all that interested at first, but as I went on I began to like it better. It's a good read as long as you don't mind the fact that it's a little slow.
