I absolutely LOVE this manga

That's it!! This manga is soo going in my first class favorites!!

I totally recommend this manga to ALL shoujo manga maniacs(ehm..just like me)
This manga story is unique with the cosplay cafe and all...the uniforms is absolutely beautiful plus there are always different kind of themes like sentai(like power rangers), little sister, guy and I'm sure a lot will be coming more...The main girl, I like her from the start!! she's spunky, pretty, powerful and the the most unique thing is that she somehow prefer to side with the girls..This is the first time for me....Also, don't forget about the art in this manga....it's perfectly divine....the mangaka really likes to draw laces(aah~..my weakness) and cool clothes/uniforms especially the gothic style maid uniform...the mangaka sure know how to make me go kya kya towards the guys...She draw them looking so devilishly handsome especially Usui-kun(kkyyaaa xD) In fact, all the characters she draw are really good.....The humor is also a wonderful add to this manga....It always makes me laugh out loud(yeah....alone in my room....my sis said that I'm crazy..ahaha) I'm positively sure that I'll never get tired of the comedy..the way Usui treat Misaki...aahhh~ utterly romantic and make my heart stop
I think that this is the 1st manga I'm totally desperate for the updates or if there's none(hope not)....I'll even spend my money to buy it!! even if it's expansive(about 10USD) and I've to ride an aeroplane...akhaha

<3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 (i'm in love)

The main male character Usui Takumi is the love of my life. No matter how unrealistically perfect he is, I won't give up the hopes of one day snatching someone of his level. yes. I will snatch the person!

Anyways, I fell in love with the dynamic between usui and misa from chapter 1. They are both badass, determined, and independent. They have different lives, goals, and dreams. But they come together and work through their various obstacles together without abandoning their own personal dreams and aspirations. And this is what I believe to be a truly healthy relationship between lovers. I have so much respect for these two. They are the perfect tag-team, and complement each other by standing back to back, covering for one another's faults.

Unlike what the unfavorable comments say, the reason I liked this story was BECAUSE there WAS character development. Misa starts out as a stubborn and judgmental demon who hates ALL men, and is eventually tempered by Usui's natural calmness. Usui, on the other hand, becomes more passionate than before due to Misa's fiery nature, and finally has something worth fighting for. (being the sad genius that he was, life was pretty boring until Misa came along) Both of them reach a happy medium by the end, and find solace in one another. They changed themselves into better people!

Humor was also pretty nicely snugged into the series. I laughed so many times that I've lost count. And gosh, some moments of the series had ME blushing along with the characters. Ha ha.

The art is also gorgeously drawn, and Usui becomes hotter with every new release. (is that even possible?) The ONLY downside of this manga was the side characters. The side characters did not have a chance to develop as much as the main couple did. Still, a few of them changed a lot and the author never forgot about them! smile I just wish the manga ended earlier, because the last few chapters actually dragged the series down.

Just have to say it...

I must admit first that i'm from Chile and my english is pretty lame or maybe worst so i'm sorry if i can't explain myself very well. I actually register only because i wanted to comment about this manga because i read almost all the comments and i just felt the need to say something.
I'm a shoujo manga fan, and i have already lost count of how many i have read. I first saw the anime of Kaichou Wa Maid Sama and i just felt in love, from that moment i became obsses of anime/manga shoujo. As i keep reading shoujo mangas i started feel a little disapointed because the female leads were becoming weaker and weaker to the point that i just start heating them. In my opinion Misaki is a female lead that is one of a kind, she has always been independet there were nobody who helped her, she always thought that the only person she need to keep going was her, until the day she met Usui. Usui was the first person who try helping her and become close to her but because of Misaki personality she was very confuse so she always were thinking that he was teasing her. Usui was in love and for that reason he didn't gave up to Misaki, thats why he is the only guy who can really be with Misaki, not because he is handsome or smart or strong only because he didn't give up. I have to admit that i'm sooo tired of the cold, indifferent, mean male lade that i just dont know how makes the female lead to felt in love, maybe Usui is too perfect but is more realistic that Misaki felt in love with him than a cold and mean guy, because she is actually a SMART female lead not like others that have a masochist personality and falls in love with a guy that treats them like sh*t this unreal situation happens in soo many mangas and i just hate it, honestly. Ugh i have the feeling that i'm making a lots of grammar mistakes but i just will keep going anyway. I don't understand the people who finds Misaki annoying, i mean whats annoying about her? i found her soo adorable she is the kind of girl who is not looking falling in love (like most of the girls in shoujo mangas) she have more important things to do but little by little Usui is becoming a very important person to her so is obvious that she blushes a lot because she is not used to open her heart to people and Usui knows that. I don't think that she is weaker when she is with Usui on the contrary i think she tries to be even more strong and independent and so in the few moments when she actually shows her weak and in love side you just feel the need to hug her!!. The last thing to say is that this manga make me laugh so much especially the anime (chibi Usui!!) that my stomach hurt like for a week.
So my conclusion is if you are tired of weak and whinnig girls, of love histories that you just can't buy, of the bad guy/good girl cliche Kaichou Wa Maid Sama maybe is your shoujo manga. smile

I was a huge fan of this series years ago but I don't know why this won't make me feel so excited when a new chapter comes out, like it did before.

Back then the waiting the new chapter almost made me go crazy, but now its more like 'oh, a new chapter came out, I will read it later.'

I guess because I am older now so I prefer differend things but I won't drop this one, yet.

I don't know what's with all the bad reviews but this manga is like the only shoujo manga that i really look forward to reading. IMO this manga is pretty good and although i didn't really watch the last couple episodes of the anime, i still love this manga nonetheless.

At first,it wasn't as good as i thought it would be.It was just light-hearted and full of comedy. But over-time,I started liking the flow and turns out its gonna be one of my favorite mangas.I like the way Usui gets jealous but Misaki is just too dense to know its about her >.<! I also like the fact that she works at a Cafe!~
So for this manga,i give it a 10/10.

I loved it but at some point it turned out to be so annoying. Misaki is supposed to be strong and smart but now she only blushes and stutters. I hate the way the mangaka tries to show usui's perverted side, it seems so forced.

Worth Reading

Not the most profound story in the world, but for shoujo fans, it's worth reading. The character's personalities are well defined, and their interactions are amusing.

Misaki is a great heroine, in my opinion, in that she doesn't care what other people think and while she is very strong (physically and mentally) I think she is genuinely kindhearted. The only thing about her that grinds me a little is how much she blushes around Usui, especially when he's doing perverted things (at least she calls him on being a pervert, though).

I mostly like Usui, because he's a pretty amusing character. But I wish he would act a little less like he's better than Misaki or knows more than her. He seems to think his views on relationships are the only valid ones. But then sometimes there'll be a nice surprise, like when he told Misaki that she shouldn't do things on her own because she's a girl (classic shoujo line) and then she gets kidnapped and he goes to save her only to find her beating up her kidnappers and saving herself. Now that was funny. With anyone else, Usui might get too annoying, but with Misaki, I think I can handle him. And most of the time, he really is a funny character, and his interactions with Misaki are almost always amusing.

So I think this series is worth reading. Maybe not totally original, but still worth reading, especially if you're looking for a romantic comedy with maybe something a little deeper later on.

what drew me to this manga was the art. usui is virtually perfect in every way and the reader really doesn't know much about him. he's a mystery and only until recently does it brush the surface of his past. misaki is a tsundere, which is fine. you do have to be patient for any romance to happen.
