Honestly..

I am not a big fan of this series. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying this series is terrible, I'm just saying that personally, I wanted to kill someone while reading this.
There's quite a few things depressing about this series but you can read about all the dark psychological issues in other posts... What I want to talk about is
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
HOW MANY TIMES SHE GETS KIDNAPPED. THE NUMBER IS RIDICULOUS! Every other chapter is being kidnapped, I mean seriously, she's like the new queen or something of a country and yet she's being kidnapped left and right. How BAD must their security be? 'Ah, yes welcome to the country with the worst security in history.. To your left you will see the queen being kidnapped.. AGAIN. Don't worry she'll be back in a couple days.'
It's just too ridiculous for me to take seriously. Yes, there is all that depressive crap but I find that less concerning compared to how many times she's been kidnapped. It's like a hobby or something I swear.

So yeah... The art is alright I guess, pretty but kinda stiff. I cannot, no matter how hard I try give it a high rating... And I don't even want to recommend it, but it's up to you.

100% perfect tale of abuse

Really, this manhwa is a perfect representation of a toxic relationship! The tyrannical guy who is a sweet prince at the same time and equally sweet heroine who got swept into arms of her dangerous but irresistible lover. It's actually better than other romances with abusive guys and much more believable dynamic between main characters. I wish that it ended with a divorce and a sad conclusion that their love was so great that it was bad for both of them. Unfortunately, it's a shoujo so...

I enjoyed it nonetheless. 6/10!

Melodramatic will-they-wont-they romance

Overall, this manhwa...is very....veeeerrryyyy exhausting. There are a lot of good things about it, but there are also a lot of bad things about it. The better aspects are: (1) Lovely Artwork and (2) Decent Pacing. I really appreciated that the author can handle most of the technicalities involved in concocting a story.

On the other hand, however, there are also a lot of problems. Depending on your tastes, you will either love or hate the melodrama. Me? I absolutely and unequivocally despised it. There are parts where I can understand the involvement of drama: when the trauma/mental instability was involved, because as someone surrounded by depression all her life....yeah. Anyways, there's just always this "I'll never see you again >>> Then they go to each other again while not wanting to >>> vice versa". Geez!

The biggest no-no is the nature of the romantic relationship of the main couple. Jarte is basically a crazy nutjob who obsessed over an innocent woman. Jay was decent (most of the time anyways), but we also see that some of the madness rubbed off on her. To me, it was a very abusive relationship. I never understood why Ben or Princess Lucien were tolerant of Jarte's insanity. Hell, they even support them getting together!

After the rather cute start, the manhwa just kinda didn't know what to do with their story. The comedic parts (signaled by comedic chibi art) being mixed with the "darker" melodramatic ones - yeah, it was distracting, because I didn't know how to take the scene in.

This is my opinion, if you do not like what I am going to say, then don't read my comment..thank you~
Errrrrr...how should I say this...ummm..well..the only good parts for me were the first few chapters'...and the last few chapters. Everything else was JQSSDGHJKJGGFTRFYHUJIUTTERE. Yeah..I wanted to punch something, it was either the heroine, or the hero. They were both annoying in there on ways..I guess they were borderline to tolerable.I also didn't like how about every guy Jay meets..gets obsessed with her....usually when a bunch of dudes fall in love with a heroine it's okay...but obsessing over her..enough to kill people...that's going a bit far.. Loved the beginning and loved the end. The end was enjoyable...no more misunderstandings and stressful situations, mutual-ish love. So..overall it's like a 7.4?If you can take lots of misunderstanding and kind of annoying characters, enjoy, because the overall plot is not that bad. If you can't yet you still want to check it out, don't punch your screens XD

WELL.The mangas art is fantastic. The same pouty lips from Wann,as always.BUT.This manga wasn't as impressive as the art.It was good at first, but come on,seriously, going ahead of time so fast wasn't really what i expected from this.So all i want is that the characters get their act together, and all in all,it'll be good. And please Wann, don't be too fast on the story.But.! On the good side, she makes some hilarious stuff.Like choking or not being able to breath because of chicken kebab? Priceless.ahaha

I at first avoid this shoujo because the story plot seemed extremely cliche. However, after given it a try one day out of boredom I was surprised by the deep plot. This shoujo reads like romance drama you'd see on TV.

By the way, if it was not for the poster iXi I would have never even heard of this shoujo. Now, that it's being licensed I have started buying copies from NETCOMICS.

The drama

As with almost all of the reviews here, the drama is a bit too much. It was great in the beginning, but the drama just got too much.
The arcs flow pretty well to another. The art is fairly decent and unique(at least from my selections of mangas).
There is just...to much...drama...

Read The First and Last Parts; Skip The Rest

This manhwa is full of drama its overwhelming. As @happyfairy000 suggested just read the first 30 chapters, and read the last 10 chapters. This manhwa was promising then everything just gets messed up and complicated.

The plot at first was fantastic, I liked how it was going up until the 'Jay Has Amnesia' ended. I don't like the fact that every man Jay encounters starts to fall for her and ends up obsessed, I just hate it, she doesn't have that many redeeming qualities and features, and it just brings the whole manhwa down because it effects everything. The ending was slightly satisfying but it could have been better if she plotted it differently. There's just so much drama going on in the middle of this, eventually you will hate every character at one point. I think the manhwaga (?) tried to keep the manga going on my inserting sub-plots that weren't really necessary, especially that thing with Jarte's half-brother, sub-plots like that brought down the manhwa's overall rating.

The characters, as mentioned before, will be hated at one point during the manhwa. The feels that they have for each other, and how they go about it is very frustrating. The female main lead seems to make an equal amount of right and wrong decisions which isn't really that bad but it does get irritating. Jarte's obsession over Jay does get to the point where it's overwhelming and exaggerated. The other characters you seem to get a feel of their overall personality, but you don't really seem to feel anything for them during the course of the story.

The art was good for a manhwa. It expresses the emotions of the characters well.

The manhwa is great for someone addicted to drama and stuff, but for regular shoujo readers just read the first and last few chapters. The ridiculous drama in this drags the rating to a 7.5/10.

Dude, why do they think she's PLAIN! Sheesh- she looks pretty in my eyes, she looks like the pretty in shoujo mangas. If they want her to look plain, please, just make her look plain! Enough of my ranting, in fact, that was a minor one at that... This series, is amazing, it may be the cliche at its finest- seriously. Like many others said, this series is full of drama, and non-lighthearted romance- into obsessive love. If you are bored out of your mind from the cutesy shoujos like moi, then you came at the right place- this manhwa or any similar ones will certainly make you disliking light-hearted mangas. If you like this series, I highly recommend Stepping on Roses, its has the same effects on me when I read it (although in this one, not all guys falls for her).

Dang, first time in years that I've pulled an all-nighter for a series but, it was worth it! Recommended for those who can put up with angst and distrust and tears and misunderstandings mixed in with love and smiles and fights and laughs and hugs ^^~
