Description
From Yen Press:
Tomoko Kuroki naturally assumed she'd be popular when she got to high school but then cold, hard reality swooped in for the attack. Turns out all the popularity points she's racked up in her video game dating sims are worth squat in real life, and Tomoko's far from prepared to navigate high school! How can she possibly hope to impress her classmates when she can't even talk to them? A new high-school heroine is born (maybe?)!

Hilarious and awkward

For a manga that focuses solely on one character, it's amazing how much the mangaka managed to come up with different and unique situations. All of the situations are funny and awkward and it's great to see an honest portrayal of a socially awkward character that just doesn't end up pitying the character.
Pretty darn good!

Tomoko makes me paranoid along with her at times. She's just so awkward, conceited, and weird. I enjoy this manga very much for some reason. I don't know why but I can't stop reading it. On a scale of 1-5 of hilariousness: it'd be a 3.5. It makes you chuckle because you just want to *smack your head* when she embarasses herself. She's so anti-social that you as a reader feel awkward for her too. A very nice, light hearted manga to read when you're bored.

it's a nice story to read once in a while, the only problem with it would be the plot. There is no plot, none of the characters ever develop, the main character is also under developed. It would also be nice to see better art, but it's ok as it is. With that kind of art, the story keeps it's self from being too depressing.

Its not the greatest story ever written, but I think the art matches the story and I find it enjoyable to read. The big thing that I like is that the girl is aware of her problem in is actively trying to change herself.
A MANGA TO STICK WITH FOR THE LONG HAUL

I first got into manga-reading as an avenue of understanding of Japanese social life. Most manga about teen life provide insights into that life, but not to the extent this one does. For example, the great meanness to each other of which Japanese high school girls are capable is often depicted, but it is generally just shown as a given. That is, some outcast girl's school life is depicted from her point of view, from which the meanness seems unexplainable.
Here we see the meanness in spades for multiple chapters, from the heroine's point of view, and then later the viewpoint broadens out, and we get the most interesting and sensitive depiction of how very much friendship means to the girls.
It is a real pleasure to see these people interact in—at last!—a realistic way.

Taking into account art and style, this manga is amateurish, the author still have a long way to go. However the plot is original and praiseworthy. I think it's more like an educative manga, a guide. People can learn seeing other person's mistakes. There are a lot of people, young people, with the same kind of troubles as the main character, even to bigger extents, just see the hikikomori phenomenon. I was a bit like her too and I wish I had something like this to read back then, a manga about young people actual problems, not the stupid superhero comics I had.

While I did find some of this comic humorous I found it the mc to be more pitiable than anything. It's just really hard to laugh at someone whom NOTHING goes right for. If the mc had anything good going on in her life I might be able to continue reading this, but as it is now I simply can't stand it. That being said, good artwork, good paneling.

I won't give it a rating since my distaste for it isn't on a creative level, it's more like something about the series pushes me away. The female protagonist is horribly awkward and refuses to look at her problems objectively, as a result, it feels like she's constantly re-enacting a train wreck. The problem for me isn't the story itself (it's very interesting), it's just the fact that I enjoy a certain type of awkward humor and I like it more when situations that require a bit of awkwardness to be funny aren't occurring all the time. People who like that sort of thing will probably like this series.
