I will be short.
A lot of things could be said of this manga. I still remember watching Naruto anime as a kid, even though I don't really like the Shippuden LOL
People say it gets worse, I think it's just different by the end than at the beginning. The main points are not the same.
I agree that Sasuke and Naruto's conflict was dragged too long, and from my perspective, their fight should have been more epic and long... it was not enough for me. The 4th war arc seemed really long while reading it when we had to wait until next chapter, but if you reread it now that you don't have to stop in the middle... It almost feels like it's short hahaha
Naruto has changed a lot throught the years, but each part of the manga has its charms for me.
At first is more comical and the main point was Naruto trying to obtain the recognition of te village... and also the Kakashi team. Those two things were the middle of everything.
Then we get throught Akatsuki and Sasuke's conflict. I really liked it, because it was more emotional and intense.
When we get to the end, topics like war, peace and hate come around. At it was interesting too. Different.
It's possible that you like more the beginning, or the ending or the middle part... but they are all different and that makes this manga really good for me. You don't get tired of it.
I see a lot of people talking about the couples... I don't think that's the important thing of Naruto ending hahaha pat I will give my point of view:

Its incredible when this was first published how good it was. All the characters were interesting and likable. You wanted to see them do cool ninja stuff, and the world they lived in was so interesting it really didn't matter what was going on. Fast forward 15 years later and this manga has turned into the worst that shounen jump has to offer. Half the characters are going super saiyan with planet destroying moves while the other half are fighting with wooden dolls. Generic war battles spanning across 30+ volumes and the end of the manga is so absurd I don't see how anyone could take it seriously.

I love this manga, but the war took soooooo soooo loooong OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG.....And the buddy buddy super positive friends forever no matter what atittude was a bit too much for my taste...

The relationships leave something to be desired.



All in all, this manga was ruined for me by terrible pairings.

I won't deny there are goodness in Naruto, but I won't put it up as the best manga ever written.

Naruto started strong because of the smartly depicted ninja fights and well designed characters. It remained good throughout the early phase, Naruto gradually got stronger while learning the source of his power and fighting stronger opponents. It was good, until suddenly things that are not ninja-like starts to appear. Well I can't really describe it even if I want to since I had practically just read it out of habit by that time.

The only thing that saves Naruto for me was the ending time. Mishima has made good decision by stopping it where it ends, even though it has already been dragged on by the time he did. Although I have no say about how it ends, I highly appreciate the series early on, the stories was great until the fights against Akatsuki ends.

I give it an 8, for its early chapters brilliance.

So I first want to state that the anime was the whole reason I started liking anime to begin with, back when the very first episode came out on toonami. I own a lot to this show even though I almost dropped it 3 times due to how slow the story progressed and how long some back stories were. Each time I took a break from it to let story advance more the more I realized just how amazing this story is. I would recommend this to anyone, this was one of and probably will still be one of the greatest manga of its time and im sad to see it go. The ending for once isn't rushed and it very smooth which is very nice to see. I've been with Naruto for about 10 years now, I think probably longer, and I truly love this series

This manga/anime has been apart of my life for a long time. When I was younger, I dreamed to become like the characters in Naruto. I was always moved by how the characters showed their determination and strength and I wanted to become like them. When reading this manga, you become attach to characters despite only seeing them a few times, you become en-wrapped by their personality and their stories. There were times where I was so into the manga that I cried or laughed out loud. I am truly amazed at how much detail and effort went into the creation of this manga. I am sort of sad to see that this manga has come to end. It played a big role in my life from a young age to present. I am truly glad I was able to "meet" Naruto and the others while reading.

I don't really like sakura. I got it, she is a medic, so her job is too heal, but if you actually look at it, she has been useless since the beginning! I really wish the mangaka would developed her a little bit more and make her do some shit instead of just punching the ground with her strength and heal ppl. And all over the Sakura × Naruto fan art is Arghhhh.. they are everywhere within in the scanlation... and Sasuke... ehh.. i dont feel much for his character anymore.. like after all the drama and shit (especially after his brother), i realize he is just a brat, and really annoying yet power brat. The fillers sre annoying as hell. Anyway, i did really enjoy the manga/anime, and although 2/3 of the main casts are annoying as fuck, i still really like this manga.. i did like the character growth of Naruto (but if you think about it, he hasnt actually gain anything personality wise.. just actual power.. which i likeee)..

I've read this manga in under a week and people that say it gets worse near the ending are right.
The akatsuki arc is still good but problems start with Sasuke's decision. That was just not a smart move from the author, but the way he was dragging the story it was expected. They wanted to continue the conflict between Naruto and Sasuke, a pointless effort. That was the turning point for this manga, as things started going down from there.

There are over 200 chapters spanning the final fight, it's ridiculous. But i have to give it to this manga for managing to draw in every character from the world's Genesis and give it screen time. It was just overdone, leading to a lot of boring fights where you didn't care for the outcome. Because people can't die in this manga. The only serious death was , it had impact simply because everyone expected him to come back to life like everyone else.

Well, i wanted to give this an 8 till I read that terrible ending spanning 200 chapters, now I have to settle for 6 or 7. It's still one of the greatest shounen manga for the intricate story and impressive length.
