I was totally surprised how much i ended up liking this manga! I was really hesitant to read this for so long because i was afraid it was going to be all about acting like Glass Mask. However it was a good combo of their ambition to be actors and love for one another. The pace was excellent with enough progression you did not get bored and more intimacy than a usual shojou manga shows. BUT the only thing i didn't get, is why so many ppl were obsessed with the ITO, the main heroine. Not only does her brothers have a sister complex, but she is always kidnapped by her persistent 3 stalkers...Also both main characters are tough martial artists, so why the hell did they never beat the living day lights out of the guy who keeps screwing with Mako?? Besides those two quirks, if you like sweet romance with actions and gender bender this is a must read bigrazz

Honestly dis manga is one of a kind. Should be much more highly rated. I think some people are put off by the summary. The guy aktuli acts like a guy. Hez not a true trans or nything. The girl, damn shez one of my favourite heroines out. So strong, tough, determined, she was the one who made dis manga unique. She is one of the few heroines that doesnt freakn cry every chapter or so. When she does, u feel dat it is totally right for that circumstance. Yes she lacks femininity(if datz a word lol) but over the course of the manga she bekumz more feminine and her personailty more than makez up for it. Such great character development as well for most characters most importantly the girl Miura. even though its long, it neva dragged for me and i felt sad that it had ended. It also had such a great ending with mostly every character's destination being resolved. Most of the characters had depth to them. I can go on and on faa so good. Art is really good as well. Just read it!!

That Takayo girl is one of the most pathetic characters i have seen in such a long time, why doesnt she get the clue that Makoto has absolutely no interest in her. she is so annoyingly clingy and stupid, i cant stand her. and what is with her brother? sometimes i feel like he is in love with her, and i wish he'd just start dating her and leave makota alone. Also, doesnt japan have a Juvenile Detention center? He tried to hurt Makota early in the story they should have sent his psycho butt to a juvey center... Anyway, i love the main girl character, it is refreshing to see a girl that is strong and nice as the main character. she does cry but when she does its for a good reason, she is smart, but she is not very feminine or pretty, but that doesn't detract from her character at all, if anything it makes her more charming.
edit: anyone else annoyed how in volume 7 mako reveals his secret to help that annoying brat? i kinda wish iko had slapped her for acting like that for no good reason. i couldnt care less whetther this brat is a singer or not. just a wasted chapter...

W Juliet is backwards from most manga like this. Its really interesting and funny with characters that you can relate to. I think that it is great that in this one the guy goes as a girl. I recommend this manga to everyone!

Not your usual gender bender...

When i saw the genres as "gender bender + school life + shoujo" i automatically think "k girl shishes her boobs, goes to school as a guy, falls in love with room/classmate and theres your comedy"
But WOW didn't think i could be so close, yet so far o.o
Im rating it low to start out with as its ok at the moment, im finding it ackward because, even though i know their real genders, i can't tell sometimes.... which i don't know if its a good or a bad thing for the author o.0
so ya, i'll update this later once i read more of it but its definitely caught my interest

EDIT:
K so like i promised im updating my opinion
But theres not too much to change really, after a while it finally became more clear as to the fact that Mako is indeed a man, but i found it took too long to really clearly define that... i found it unrealistic that a guy could dress up as a girl so convincingly with no natural hitches (all the problems were made from people who already knew his secret)
But i have to admit, i keep the rating higher than i though because the love part is cute at times. I think its a good read and i'd recommend it to people who like this type of genre compilation... i guess you could call it that xP

This manga series was simply amazing. I love it. The characters so easily seemed like real people. The more I read the more I felt I was there, especially because Ito and Mako remind me of two certain people I know in a couple of ways. It is a must read for all at some point in their life.... I think it has become one of my favourites if not my favourite manga ever. =)

Love it! This is how I fall in love with Emura sensei. The relationship between Mako and Ito is just simply adorable. Mako is so protective and I feel like that if he's a real person, he will be the perfect guy you want as a BF XD

this is an AWESOME series! I was going to stop reading the first volume halfway through, but then I decided to finish it and complete the 2nd one also since I borrowed both. It go sooo much better after that and I got hooked! sometimes it's a bit draggy and off-topic here and there, but watching the characters slowly develop was real interesting. I love the main girl too! she's so likable and awesome unlike those annoying girly girls in other shoujo. overall it was a really good read and definitely deserves a 10

Cute!

This manga is definitely suitable for those who feel like reading a manga that is simple, adorable and light-hearted. Although readers may argue that it lacks realism, when it just comes down to the overall read, it's rather enjoyable - the characters are cute and there's enough romance to make you smile.

Ito (main girl) is the tall, dark haired tomboy and is a pretty strong character (emotionally and physically). So for those who hate overly emotional or weak girls, you may like Ito. Meanwhile, Makoto (main boy) is your complex of quiet/cool boy (with hair extensions) and also the witty/cheeky (sometimes) one.

When it comes to the artwork, I quite liked it - although to some, it may not be that special - but as you progress through the series, you'll get used to it more.

A fun read that you'll most likely not get bored from. Give it a go and see for yourself. ^^
