I'd have to say it was quite good, not amazingly good but just good.
PROS
- likable main character
- the characters were not bad.
- the story plot was interesting
CONS
- kind of predictable.
- got a bit boring towards the end
It was pretty good but if you love mystery genre, you might not enjoy this because it's kind of predictable....

Almost everyone could tell it was the teacher I mean it was just too obvious! Either they showed him too much which made us suspect him or maybe he was just too nice to the main character.

sorry for bad english in advance. not my native language.
yesterday finished reading this manga. what can i say. i liked this manga and story line very much. Then I downloaded anime adaptation of this manga. Don’t liked cuz it was very succinity in the end.
2 partially I want ask you question: portagonist may be seems stupid to you. But how can you go and do some research when you 11 years old kid? When I was in his age I have curefew (and you don’t?) I agree with you that he have knowledge and brain of adult, but he also have limitations of his current state in the past. Those limitations is simple he just primary school pupil. He can’t do anything about others victims (remember there was 30 cases in the end). What he chose to do is to save his classmates. If you want to read about more mature/smart portagonist in child body from time travel try reading “Ore ga Doutei o Sutetara Shinu Ken ni Tsuite”.

It's a supernatural mystery/thriller watered down for a teenage audience. None of the characters are compelling, nor does the mystery provide any intrigue. It's just a dull, flat and predictable read.
If you want a story in the same mould done genuinely well, read Hakomari.

I found Erased to simply be average overall. It actually has very good writing, and a good sense of pace. The actual content though is where the package falls down.
The primary problem is that the protagonist is an idiot. Once he travels to the past he becomes obsessed with saving all his little girlfriends. Now this isn't bad per se, however the problem exists that he is up against a SERIAL KILLER! And yet he only ever tries to save his friends. He never tries to look at the case of the killer, he never really investigates any of the other killings apart from looking at the newspaper.
Both times in the past he just tries to manipulate his direct friends so that they aren't where they were previously when they were killed. Literally! Like a killer could never adapt their plans could they? Nope! The fact that he kept his friend company for a few hours on the evening she was meant to be killed means she is entirely safe and he can go home?
If it only happened the first time, that would have been fine. One thinks he would learn from his mistakes. But he then goes through exactly the same process yet again. There is never a hint of actually wanting to catch the killer, so that he doesn't go around murdering children for years to come. Now if it WAS a group of children I could accept the story for what it is. However the fact is that he is an adult in a child's body. He should have the faculty, knowledge and deceptiveness to be able to at least investigate the killer. Instead every single action of his is basically that of a child, with a child's reasoning on how to fix things. It is hard to tell whether this was deliberate on the part of the author, or that they simply aren't the best at doing this type of story. The fact he constantly thinks his friends are safe simply because he removed them from a single situation is just weird. If there was some self-awareness from the author about this issue, some question as to whether this was correct, you could think that the author knows his character is a bit of an idiot. But I can't see that anywhere.
The only reason the killer is revealed is not through any action of the protagonist apart from him being an idiot. His bumbling around and messing with everything causes the actual killer to get pissed off.

I seriously don't remember the last time I rate a manga as high as a five. They don't make manga like this anymore. A manga that doesn't need big boobs and annoying loli to make things interesting.

Apparently, you haven't read enough manga.

Addicting.
Predictable a bit.
Suspension of disbelief is high among all other mangas. The main character is truly a real design... He blurts out his thoughts in slips. He starts as a fake character and grows into almost a hero. It reminds me of Steins;gate in that way.
Also... "Scorcher"...who rates a manga as a 5 out of 10 and says "they don't make manga like this anymore"? Are you an idiot?

This manga has exceeded my expectations. Super intriguing premise and an unpredictable plot. Can't wait to read the next chapter. It's not as formulaic as the description ("Struggling manga author Satoru Fujinuma...") makes it seem.

At first, I thought this series didn't amount to much, though I really enjoy the drawings. Then the volumes 2 and 3 had me hooked: the child abuse threats maintain a tense atmosphere and the violence seems very realistic and quite probable. Some side characters are a bit cliché or over the top, but the overall psychology still feels sincere. From volume 4 onwards, I felt the story was less intense which makes me fear that it will drag endlessly and waste such a good work. Another main reason this should stop soon is that the culprit is quite obvious, and I already feel tired of seeing the fake mystery going on. Up to now this was a enjoyable read, sometimes chilling and sometimes moving.
This series has been compared to Spirit (which I found much less enjoyable, a story going nowhere while accumulating clichés, and not at all close to Boku Dake), and to Montage (which, though very similar in pace and sometimes in atmosphere, has a much more contrived story, with stereotypical characters and far too many tricks, a typical shounen mystery series).

(Up to Chap 29, I'll edit the review as the manga continues)
An amazing plot and an outstandingly well-designed MC balanced with perfectly paced chapters makes this a wonderful story to behold.
Whenever something bad is about to happen, the MC is stuck in a time loop, time is reset to around 5 mins before the bad thing happens, the only way to get out of this loop is to prevent the bad thing from happening.
This concept would already work great for episodic story arcs, but the mangaka shows foresight with how he interweaves the story, plot concept and character driven strorytelling into a well composed work.
I will get into the brunt of the story here, yes it's spoilers, but well worth reading:
Compelling storytelling with remarkable characters that are hard to forget. Well done, mangaka!
I've read hundreds of series now, but this one is easily on the top 1% in terms of pacing, entertainment, thought provocation, and overall author's craft.

The man's mother is murdered, he is framed but the time loop offers him a way to prevent this, however, the loop doesn't reset time to 5 mins ago, he goes 16 years into the past, where he's a 12 year old kid again. Why is this? Because the murderer of his mom is the same serial killer who took the lives of several of the MC's classmates when he was young: the only way to save his mom, is to prevent the murders from happening in the first place!
Compelling storytelling with remarkable characters that are hard to forget. Well done, mangaka!
