Stay strong Azusa

When I read this manga for the first time, the first thing I noticed was that Azusa was so strong. His character is very interesting and strong that I can't help but love him. I was a little disappointed when side story interrupted the main story. It's not that I don't like the side story but because I like Azusa's story more. I hope Azusa will be saved by someone.
Why in the world the couple Atsumu/Kaze was created?

The story was interesting (yeah i know it's a weird plot, but it's hard nowadays to create something new, because yaoi thematic was quite exploited this past years, and authors always end up on the same tipical yaoi love story, boring of course, and this one was kind of different of those) but! what the heck with the new couple Atsumu/Kaze? it's soooo boring and tipical! (yeah i know that author has created that one to make the manga more longer and to create more expectation) butcome one, this manga was supposed to be different! Azusa and Karino are so much interesting because we don't know yet what will happen, that's what is good about that couple, the unpredictability! Anyways, i like the story (Azusa/ Karino) that story deserves a 9 to me

First of all, the premise doesn't make any sense. I could sort of buy the idea if it was a boarding school, but it was a normal school - STUDENTS GO HOME. Why in the holy world would anybody want to go there It doesn't make any sense!
I've read some dark, twisted shit but this is not dark nor twisted - just stupid.

BORING SECOND COUPLE (ASUTMU/KUZE)

Everyone is just like "ahh the second couple is better"...seriously!? Asutmu is plain, boring and does not have any special characteristics. He just follows the flow made by Kuze...i never like the unactive uke who easiy submit and has weak mind.
On the other hand, Azusa is just simply Interesring. He is strong-willed and arrogance, that's what make this story interesting. Moreover, Karino is like a Tsundere and a bit twsisted (which is pretty amusing) to bully the one he likes. His family background must have something to do with his curent personality (just like the twisted kuze's rabbit story). That's what makes him act twisted w the person he likes. Im sure Azusa will grow to like him if he understands the kindness behind Karino' cruelty.

Honestly, the whole idea around the plot is not bad, it is rather original. However, I can't help but ask the question, "why the rape?". I understand that Ogawa was trying to create a dark/psychological theme, but come on, rape is not an answer to that. There's a million ways to convey "dark" into a story. *sigh*, so disturbing when authors do that. Not Okay.
I won't rate this now, I am going to wait and see how the story unfolds. For now, I like it. Even if the rape part will probably take some points off when I rate it in the future.

This manga is unforgivably stupid.
Why does the school allow rape?
Why does the school do this stupid game?
Why does the school seem to have no classes?
How can a student get it trouble for reporting rape?
Why can students just leave the class at any time to have sex?
Why is Karino a little bitch rapist?
Why isn't it treated like a bad thing?
Why can't the MC (I forgot his name), just become homeschooled?
Why is it supposed to be dark and twisted but it's just weird and rapey?
Why did I ever click on this manga?

I've read a lot of BL and generally do enjoy twisted dark stories bc they're refreshing, but this one just feels disappointing in various ways. First off, just the overall story I have trouble keeping a suspension of disbelief that a whole school would follow this one card game (that anyone could start??) and everyone's friends would change by the card they find. It'd even be more realistic if there were more of variety of characters rather than everyone being either a manipulator, a pushover, or a "mindless evil follower". I think ultimately, I'm disappointed at the direction the story seems to be heading:

seems like Azusa will end up falling for Karino :/
It's not like I've never enjoyed a story where the rapist is forgiven, but with how this character is presented, I'm seriously disappointed. "Why is this series popular?" I kept wondering. There are better twisted BL stories out there...... Last updated on August 10th, 2015, 4:25am

People commented plenty on this so I’m just gonna go through what I wanna add then I’ll come back and edit this when I want later.
First and foremost, I prefer the second couple just because of my personal tastes. The whole time they started in such a sweet manner, my tummy was increasingly aching just waiting for shit to hit the fan because it simply must do so in a manga like this. I loved how Ogawa Chise sensei took her time sweetly building it rather than rushing anything. I dare say that when the bomb was finally dropped by the end of chapter 7, it was perfect in so many ways. Also, I appreciate how there are no annoying love triangles or clichés with either couples. I enjoyed the first couple plenty in a messed up kind of way. This manga is quite original (a rare word in yaoi land).
If I may fangirl, I’m attracted to the character design of Tatsumi (that delinquent/prep guy). Can I get a side story about him please…
P.s:

I totally call that Kuze killed the bunny himself. That lovable sadist. The best of all though is that Atsumu is proving himself to be more than a wimpy character. I can’t wait to see what will unfold in the near future for them. Atsumu is going to be a great character, I can so feel it.

It gets more and more twisted as the chapters go on. Definitely one of my favorites. Sensei puts a little bit of crazy in each character and its kind of refreshing not to have an "innocent" person, everyone is nuts in their own way!!!

Psychological manga are always a brain wracker (well some of them), this manga is part of the some. Like most comments especially the one below I believe everyone in the school is twisted. They take a game and swear on it as if their lives depend on it, and in all honesty it kind of does. Azusa & Karino are both sadist in my opinion each waiting for their chance to get on top and never want to back down. I want to say that they are in this sick love-hate relationship but I think it's more of wanting to possess the other person more than anything. Whether it be their happiness, sadness or body each of them go the extra mile to obtain it. I love it!!
Kuze & Atsumu's relationship is on a different level, one that I cant entirely grasp. It's like they're both pretending to be someone else or morph their personality to be with the other person. Kuze acts like he wants to JUST be friends and Atusmu appears to be weak and innocent. But even he can see that he isn't entirely innocent, he's just like everyone else.
This is definitely going into my favorites, not once did I get tired of reading this!

This is not a rape-is-love manga. Rape-is-love is done with little effort to achieve believability because it's done for people who kink on that and they don't want pages and pages of justification before they get to the stuff that really gets them going, which is the shy, repressed uke being overwhelmed by the seme's passion before the inevitable happily ever after. That's a very common, perfectly harmless fantasy, but it's not what's going on in this manga.
Here, everything is grounded in perfect psychological realism. The characters are nearly all sick, flawed people and yet the reader can easily get in their shoes and feel sympathy for them. Their feelings are ambiguous and twisted and I suggest you don't listen to anyone who would reduce them to something so simple as "guy falls in love with his rapist", because anyone who would say that either wasn't paying attention or didn't understand the manga. No one here is in love, no one's feelings are pure, everyone uses and manipulates the object of their affection, obsession and lust to some degree. Even Atsumu, who is the most decent of them, would gladly play a role to keep Kuze's attention. It's a manga about the exchange of power, cruel tyranny and debasement by turns, and there's a subtle power play between Kirino and Asuza at every moment, underscoring or undermining the more visible reversal of power between them.
That said, because everything seems so believable and bleak, when Atsumu in particular shows bravery and incredible generosity of spirit it seems way more significant and moving than in a manga that's all sunshine, roses and knights in shining armor.
It's a great, dark tale, typical for Ogawa Chise, and well worth the read.
