great characters and intense story, so I couldn't ask for more! The art work gets better as you get more into it which is a plus. Definately worth a read when you have free time on your hands.
I'm in agreement with Dragonfiremule with Shion, he officially became one of my favorite characters. Although he ties in closely with Rin (who I think is very cute!

Weird, but good.
Well, this is one of those mangas you go , "What the heck?" and then a second later you go, "How interesting."
Its pretty good though. I Particularly like the fantasy part. Shion is officially my favorite character. =D

hmm.. i don't understand some things... i really love this series alot but my mom doesn't like it at all.. ? hmm.. well i mean yeah oppinions but dude.. how can she not like it that much...?
I've known about this manga for a long time, but never read it because I tend to hate fantasy mangas. But, I finally decided to try it since it's so popular. The first 2 volumes are a bit dated and silly. The manga was a little drawn out in places, and sometimes I wondered if certain events in the story were not necessary to the main plot. The artwork may not be the greatest, (especially due to its 80s/early 90s look) but it improves greatly by the end of the series. Overall, though, the plot was one of the most well constructed and well played out I have ever read in a manga. The story pulled me in to the extent that I had a hard time putting the manga down. I even cried a few times. Don't let its fantasy/sci-fi genre deter you, this is an amazing work.
story line very good. someparts really long first 3-4 volume seems boring then its getting better and better
I really love this manga, The plot and story line are one of the best i ever read, this is one of my favorites.
