What to Say Bout Kaikan Phrase?
This really is awesome. It's one of the smutiest mangas around, but it's still good. I loved the anime, especially since it focused more on music than the manga. I love the manga though too ^_^. /\ucifer is one of my favorite bands now, even though they broke up back in 2003.......
this is manga super
The Title Is Deceiving
I thought the rock star image was too flashy.. More pop band looking. There was no heart pounding love making scene.. Artistry not my favourite.. Starts off with her meeting the rock star pretty fast. Them falling for each other fast. And just the same annoying interference from others the whole time.. With them doing the same thing to each other as a solution. Just to end in such a predictable way.
Dull and forgettable, not to mention unbearably cliche
This manga just topped my list for the worst shoujo I've ever read.
No attempt whatsoever was made to deepen the plot of the shallow genre of showbiz (it's so overdone that hard work is needed for a masterpiece about showbiz) The author stuck in the randomest "romantic" situations in illogical parts. It makes you wonder what kind of people these characters are, and if they are mentally sane. I can't see why these two would fall for each other so quickly!!
It must be the sex organs telling them to find somebody. How lonely and shallow that is.
Also, the low level teenage angst infuriated me. What's with this continuous outside interference? Honestly are you all that stupid?! I can't even....
Even the smut scenes are cheap, I wasn't turned on at all ha ha ha. Totally not worth anyone's while.
EDIT: I came across the manga again, and it's just as bad this time. I don't recommend this.

I like this manga and it's ok for me... No too good not too bad... I like mayu-sensei's works and i like this the most... But i must say all her work focus about band and 'trying to separate' themes and it takes my attetion in a way. I havent read the whole manga YET but i would reccomend this for those readers who like to see more of a manly guy who always protect the female heroine... To make it simple , the story always revolves around the damsel in distress..(^_^) but i might edit this comment after reading the whole thing..(^_^)
... and yet I always come back for more ...
This manga is one of those titles with a pretty wild premise, cliched to high heaven and so very sappy and the definition of 'shojou'. But I can't stop reading! Even though I laugh at the story (and it's not because there's anything intentionally funny) and scoff at the ridiculousness of the plot twists, it's one of those silly little stories that somehow keeps you wanting more. You know how this ends, there's no possible way it would deviate from the traditional happy ending, but it's still fascinating to read all the way through and follow Aine's impossibly 'colourful' life =P
when i first read the first chapter, i thought it would be good. but no, the characters have rarely interacted with each other besides smut scenes and now they're deeply in love to the point where he gives up his father's company for her. that was very unnecessary since with the power he hold with that company, he can easily drive his brother out. >.>.
the girl really really annoys the hell out of me. she's weak weak weak weak weak weak to death just waiting for sakuya to come save her whenever she's in a pinch. and she's also very indecisive. another thing is that how come everyone is coming together to bully a poor heroine and always taking advantage of her. i gave up on like 13 chapters just couldnt take it anymore
the best D:?
Uh, not the best in the manga world! ;O hahaha I don't like the art, and yeah...The girls are all fools in her stories! so...I PASS THIS ONE! (:
good luck if you wanna read it! ;D
a LOT of shinju mayu's work is smutt.... urgh. I wish she'd cut down on the smut a bit. I really liked the storyline for this one. And I don't mind smutt. In this one, it worked fine. ^-^ The art's not the best, but she got a lot better after every chapter. And she did start the series in 1997. I actually quite like Shinjo Mayu's works. For this one, I say go for it! But when you stop liking it... don't read on. Because for this one, I think it's just you like it or you don't. I think it's one of the ones where if you like it, you really, really like it. If you don't, then you just can't stand it D< I for one, really, really liked it. >-< I bought the entire series. It was sooo good. (but I don't have volumes 2 and 9 TT-TT) The ending was satisfying... but not the best// Good though. Not rushed.
Oh yeah. I forgot to mention that if you liked the storyline but didn't like how shoujo it was, then try the anime. It has a different feel. And it's not so shoujo. XD I happen to like both the anime and manga. lol.

Bishounen + stupid girl = smut. Emphasis on the "equals."
Shinjo Mayu's smut is the ultimate smut. It's so smutty that you can't just casually juxtapose her smut with manga series of other genres.
