Judging it on its own it is quite good, a nice, light read. Recommended for children from 8+. Not for you if you're looking for some hard-core action/shonen stuff.

Amusing story, light-hearted, and seems to parody itself. Recommended as long as you're not looking to read a Kenshin clone.
Can't really say it totally sucsk, it's not bad but for my expectations I expected something better than this.
Probably the mangaka didn't had content enough , or just low in ideas. I think he should have continued with stories like Rurouni kenshin, all "samurai" involvement . i love his work, but busou renkin just not good enough

It gets sooo much better by the end, it's a really nice manga series.
the beginning was okay...still, i'm quite shocked that Watsuki changed the style of writing his stories... i hope that his future mangas will be more like his first work :P
After reading the 1st volume I find it not bad at all
After reading this it's kind of hard to imagine that it's from the same mangaka of Kenshin.
I have high expectation because I read Kenshin before. I saw that it was recently finished and read all 75 chapters for a quick read. How utterly utterly disappointing. The characters are not very well-defined. They introduce some potential comrades or good enemies yet they lack the development. The plot feels like it is dragged on and ends quickly. Not to mention.
An ambiguous ending. Save your time and read Kenshin again.
