Overall, the manga seems pretty good at first. It's got a strange, but nice style which improves over the volumes. The story is pretty slow paced and is good at setting the mood. The character also work well, even though they tend to be mindnumbingly stubborn at times. Unfortunately, the manga is also extremely predictable, with no twists or climaxes. The ending completely ruined it for me, as it took the easy way out, and felt like a depressing copout with no closure. All in all, the ending simply made me wish I hadn't started on this manga, as I don't approve of the fates the author chose to give the characters. It's like being back to square one.
Not a typical vampire story...
I started this manga thinking it was a vampire story but it's not. It's still an enjoyable, nicely drawn, dark melodramatic thriller well-worth reading.
